Interview with our diamond member undercover82
His poker life had many ups and downs. We wanted to know how he proceeded.
Many of you know him from the sample hands forum or any other discussion in our community. We asked undercover82 a few questions:
PokerStrategy: Who are you? Please introduce yourself.
undercover82: My Name is George, I am 25 years old and live in Athens/Greece. At the moment I am studying electronics.
PokerStrategy: What kind of games/limits do you play? And on which platform?
undercover81: I play NL using the SSS up to NL1000 and I also play SH NL100 with the big stack. I only play on PartyPoker.
PokerStrategy: When did you start playing poker?
undercover82: I first played poker around 1.5 years ago on a different platform but after a few failed attempts I quit. Then in December 2006 I found out about PokerStrategy and I decided to give it another shot.
PokerStrategy: Can you describe some decisive situations in your career?
undercover82: During the first 2 months of my play I had a huge variance in my bankroll (between 50 and 500 dollars). The worse downswing was falling from 500 to 50 $. That's when I decided to discipline my play a bit more and I started mixing NL5$ BSS and NL10$ SSS and I have been winning steadily since. I faced a downswing when I started playing on NL1000 mostly due to bad luck but I have started getting out of it now.
PokerStrategy: What role did PokerStrategy play in your poker career?
undercover82: PokerStrategy obviously played a very big role in my career. First of all I would have never tried to invest any of my own money again on poker since I had figured that I am not able to become a winning player. However the latter has happened thanks to the various methods of teaching from PokerStrategy and my own motivation and persistence.
