MPN trials timed Heads-up SNGs

The new format aims to offer deeper HUSNG play without taking forever to conclude a game.

MPN has recently made a few changes to its games offering including the removal of some less popular SNGs (including full ring). They have also introduced a new format on a trial basis - timed heads-up SNGs.

'Ten Minute Heads Up' is a new format where if the game is still running after 600 seconds, both players automatically go all-in until there is a winner. 

Players start with 1,500 chips and the blinds are fixed at 25/50. The timebank in these games is also much shorter. 

In a post on the MPN Corporate blog it was revealed this new format came about to satisfy players who craved deeper play in HUSNGs but also did not have a huge amount of time to play. 

This is the latest format to be introduced to online poker that caters for players not wanting to commit a lot of time per night to poker. At the end of 2016 PokerStars announced their own timed MTTSNG format Beat The Clock.

In the same announcement, MPN confirmed they will be standardising the SNG and MTT buy-in amounts. The rake for which will stay the same or be slightly reduced.
