New 888poker Software Version - Get your Free $8 and Try It Out

888poker has just updated its software client and it brings players a set of new features, as well as various improvements. Some of the things you will notice are the addition of tables with video support, resizeable tables, synchronized tournament breaks and more. Also, you can still get your free $8 starting capital to test the new software.

New at 888poker: video tables

• Players can now see their opponents thanks to the video feed that was added to a select number of tables (see screenshot below).
• The video tables are available only at short-handed (6 max) Hold'em cash game tables.
• These tables are marked with a webcam icon in the 888poker lobby.
• The number of video tables is limited to 20.
• The number of viewers for each video table is limited to 30.

Synchronized breaks

• All multi-table tournaments (MTT) will now go on break at XX:55 and the play will resume 5 minutes later.
• Tournaments starting  between XX:50 and XY:00 (where Y = X + 1 hour) will only go on break from the next hour onwards (XY:55).
• The synchronized breaks also applies to Sit & Go's with 90 or more players.

Other software improvements

• Lobby size increased - The 888poker lobby is now optimized to work on resolutions of 1024 x 768 and higher. The larger lobby now gives a better overview, as well as improving the user friendly factor.
• Block chat in DoN - The chat will now be blocked in the Double or Nothing Sit & Go's when the number of players "in the money" + X remain in the tournament. X is a parameter initially set to 2.
