Phil Hellmuth wins 14th WSOP bracelet
The Poker Brat extends his lead in the all-time bracelet rankings with his second Razz title.
What World Series of Poker would be complete without Phil Hellmuth winning a bracelet? As a poker writer, it just seems like a staple part of the job to write about his uncanny form almost every summer at the series.
For the second time in his career he has taken down a non-hold'em bracelet, and for the second time in his career that is in the form of Razz. He bested 102 other players to win the $10,000 Razz Championship.
He defeated a stellar final which included Mike Leah, Brandon Shack-Harris, Stephen Chidwick and Mike Gorodinsky heads-up to claim the $271,105 first prize.
But the smile on Phil's face will have been all about bracelet number 14, which extends his long-standing record at the World Series. He now has a big lead on Johnny Chan, Doyle Brunson and Phil Ivey, all of whom have ten. With the news that Ivey is no longer concentrating on bracelets as he no longer has bracelet bets running, that should mean Hellmuth's record can stay intact for several more years at least.
This was also his 109th WSOP cash, 52nd WSOP final table and he now has $12,512,800 in WSOP earnings.

Love him or hate him, there is no doubting his passion or his ability when it comes to World Series of Poker events. Phil Hellmuth continues to deny his critics every summer.
