Phil Ivey and Daniel Negreanu Lead WSOP APAC #3 Final, Collopy Wins Event #2

Jim Collopy is the latest member of the bracelet winners club, but even more exciting is a potential dream heads-up match in the $2,200 mixed game event.

The events are now coming thick and fast at the WSOP APAC, and we have awarded our second bracelet in as many days.

Jim Collopy defeated Edison Nguyen heads-up in the AUD $1,650 Pot Limit Omaha event to capture the first prize of $69,662, and of course the bracelet.

Event #4, the $5,000 No Limit Six Max, started today. Check back with us tomorrow for details on the exact number or runners and chip counts as they were unavailable at the time of writing.

But the big story of the day has to be the dream final table which has formed in Event #3, the AUD $2,200 Mixed Event.

Phil Ivey and Daniel Negreanu are 1st and 2nd respectively out of the final seven players to set up a potential made-for-TV heads-up match tomorrow (Phil Hellmuth narrowly missed out on the final too).

The first prize is $51,840 but with both men being very well known for their bracelet bets, there is almost certainly going to be much more on the line tomorrow than the records will show.
