PokerStars 90 Billionth Hand Celebrations Begin Today

PokerStars are still rushing down the Road to 100 Billion, with their milestone hands due to kick off today. Last time, more than 200 PokerStrategists scooped a cash prize; this time the winner of the 90 billionth hand will take home at least $20,000!

We previously reported that PokerStars are due to deal their 90 Billionth hand and that, in true PokerStars fashion, they are going to give away a lot of money doing so.

The first milestone hand is #89,700,000,000 and every millionth hand until #90,000,000,000 will reward all players in the hand with cash prizes. The winner of the 90 billionth hand will receive at least $20,000.

The 85 billionth hand celebrations saw 200 PokerStrategists rewarded with a cash prize, with the winner of the 85 billionth hand itself taking home $26,300 despite only playing at a $0.02/$0.05 table!

Milestone Prize Calculation

Example: BobbyFishSticks is dealt into a milestone hand after a 3-hour session at $0.1/$0.25 No-Limit. He has earned 32 VPPs in the past 50 hands at the table, so he will receive $1,920 on top of his base prize of $20 - $1,940 in total. If he wins the milestone hand, he will win $3,880 in total.

How much will I win in a milestone hand?

The exact amount you will receive if you are lucky enough to be dealt into or even win a milestone hand depends on several factors, though it is safe to say you will likely win a sum significantly larger than the average pot at your table.

For each VIP Player Point (VPP) earned at that table in the previous 50 hands, you will receive $60 plus a $20 base prize. The winner of the hand receives double the regular prize:

• Play longer sessions, as milestone cash prizes are calculated by VPPs (VIP Player Points) earned.
