Matt Perry
Matt Perry is a poker journalist, copywriter, and editor from London, England.
He first began playing poker in a regular Sixth Form College game which he describes as "some bastard child of tournament, ante-only, shortstack Hold'em - the freakish relative that Hold'em keeps chained up in his cellar."
From there he discovered online poker and became a microstakes rakeback grinder while studying Journalism at Kingston University; playing in some London pub games with a few poker media members opened the door to the industry and soon he was making more money writing about poker than playing it.
He has written feature articles and promotional copy for several major UK poker publications, interviewed many of the biggest names in the poker world, and ghostwritten articles and other text for high stakes poker professionals.
In 2011 he joined the Gibraltar team of PokerStrategy.com and for much of 2012 was responsible for the site's editorial product including newsletters, promotions, community marketing, all news articles and announcements, as well as the majority of official public B2C communication.
He currently lives in London and is responsible for promotions, community, poker school and marketing editorial output.
