PokerStars Live Poker Room Opening In Macau

PokerStars
will open tomorrow, on March 19, a live poker room called "PokerStars Macau at the Grand Lisboa" on the 2nd floor of the famous Grand Lisboa Casino, located in the heart of Macau.
 
Being the largest poker room in continental Asia with 22 tables for
Texas Hold'em tournament action and 24-hour cash games, PokerStars
Macau will certainly attract many players. This is the company's second
live poker room in Macau, as one was
already opened last year in partnership with the Grand Waldo Casino.

The Poker World Champion and member of Team PokerStars Pro, Joe Hachem
gave a comment on the PokerStars' development of poker across Asia:

and this new room will be its heart. It has been
extraordinary for me to watch the growth of poker culture in the
eighteen months since the PokerStars.net Asia Pacific Poker Tour first
brought poker to Macau, and I'm so excited about playing in my third
APPT there in August."

PokerStars Macau at the Grand Lisboa will host the largest regular weekly poker tournaments in Asia, the premiere "Macau Poker Cup"
series every other month and the annual Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT)
Macau Poker Festival. Freeroll tournaments for new poker players will
also be available, along with many other events for both poker amateurs
and professionals.

The return of the Macau Poker Cup will be celebrated from 19th to 22th
of March with the HKD 10,000 buy-in Red Dragon event, which will have
for the first time a guaranteed minimum prize pool of HKD 500,000.
Macau Poker Cup will feature numerous other events, including a HKD
1,000 buy-in charity event, which will donate the proceeds to the
Caritas Macau.
