PokerStars opens first ever "pay-by-poker" restaurant
The London based restaurant "All-In Kitchen" is only open from January 19-21, and tickets have already sold out.
In celebration of the UK and Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) kicking off in London at the back end of January, PokerStars has teamed up with culinary kings Jones & Sons to launch the world's first ever "pay-by-poker" restaurant.
Situated in East London, "All-In Kitchen" is only open from January 19-21, but gives its lucky diners the opportunity to sit down at the poker table and play three hands to determine how much they pay for their three-course meal and cocktail, which is valued at £50.
Each diner starts the poker game with 10,000 chips a piece, and if anyone manages to earn a profit - or just break even - during the designated three hands of play, their meal is on the house!
Better still, even if you lose chips you still get a massive slice cut off your bill. Finish with between 5,000 and 10,000 chips and you get a £45 discount, finish with less than 5,000 and get a £40 discount. Not too shabby!
Sadly, as you can probably imagine, the notion of folding ones way to a delicious gourmet meal has proven extremely popular, and tickets to the limited edition restaurant have already flown off the shelves.
The Menu: poker puns galore
The poker theme doesn't end with the cards either. The menu itself is quirkily inspired by some of the game's common terms and phrases, check it out in full below:
