World record achieved - 35,000 players gathered for the biggest poker tournament ever to date. The Sunday majors also had records to report. Further highlights have been offered by PokerStars in the 'World Record Week'.
PokerStars
invited to the biggest poker tournament of all times, and everybody showed up: the rush on the world record tournament was huge, and so it really doesn't amaze that 35,000 players paid the buy-in of $10+$1. Thus, PokerStars has secured an entry into the Guinness World Records.

Over $3,000,000 Prize Pool at the Sunday Million
Besides the world record tournament, more record-worthy tourney action could be watched on Stars. The guaranteed prize monies at the Sunday majors experienced a real surge as well. Instead of the usual $1,500,000, the guaranteed prize pool at the Sunday
Million amounted to an impressive $2,500,000. However, it was far from over: 16,260 players generated an even bigger pool: $3,252,000! This meant a record participation and the biggest payout ever of a "non-WCOOP event".
The eventual winner was 'Ip_SakiSaki' from Sweden, who received $331,378 for his performance.
Katja Thater was also lucky again for a change. She ended up as the best Team PokerStars Pro and won the internal "last-longer bet" amongst the pros. For her 134th place, she also received $3,902.
Sunday Warm-up well visited
The Sunday Warm-up also had a record number of participants so that the guaranteed prize pool of $1,000,000 was surpassed: 5,836 players generated a pool of $1,167,200.
The prize money for first place, $147,067.20, went to 'Hr_Herman'.
Victor Ramdin becomes Captain of Team PokerStars Pro
Yesterday, many pros signed by PokerStars
met as well and played out the Captain for the 'PokerStars All Star Weekend'.
It is supposed to be a "team contest" which will be held online next year. Further details are not known so far.
Besides the prestigious title of Captain for first place, the Top 3 players could also enjoy $30,000 overall. The winners were then free to donate the money.

World Record Week keeps going
Finally, it should be noted that the big tournaments of the 'World Record Week' yesterday did not only fulfil the expectations, but even surpassed them.
However, PokerStars has more to offer until New Year's Eve: the previously mentioned tournament of the Team PokerStars Pros was recorded and will be made available in the next days as a replay. The hole cards of each participant will be made visible.
Furthermore, each player has the opportunity to receive a nice boost to his bankroll at the so-called "Milestone
Hands". Everybody who is involved in a one-millionth hand will receive a bonus.
If this has convinced you, you can profit from the reload bonus in the 'World Record Week'. To clear the 25% bonus, you have six months.
Further information about the World Record Week can be found on the official PokerStars homepage.
