Stars Rewards launches in Denmark
The new personalised rewards system is underway in Denmark before being rolled out to the rest of the poker world this summer.

Last week we announced more details on the major overhaul of the PokerStars VIP programme. Yesterday players in Denmark became the first to see it in action.
Players earn reward points at a rate of 100 per $1 in rake or fees. Players do not earn reward points at Pot Limit and No Limit tables with blinds of $5/$10 or higher, 8-game tables with stakes of $20-$40 or higher, or other Limit games with stakes of $20-$40 or higher.
The more reward points you earn, the closer you get to unlocking a 'Chest' which has a randomised prize in it. Deposits and choice of game also play a part in your progress towards a Chest, and it appears player specific how much work unlocking the next Chest requires. There are different tiers to Chests and if you unlock four in a day you move up to the next level, where Chests will be harder to unlock.
The potential prizes are also personalised and based on the games you have been shown to enjoy. The highest value prizes are awarded 1 in 10,000 times, most of the time players will just walk away with a low value prize.

Players will be shown a progress bar that is highlighted as they get closer to unlocking a Chest. They will also receive daily boosts to speed up their progress towards a Chest once a day.
Italy is expected to be the next country to launch Stars Rewards, with the entire poker liquidity migrating over to it towards the end of the Summer.
