More details on the new PokerStars rewards system

Check out the latest updates for the new Stars Rewards scheme which is expected to roll out in Denmark later this month.

Last month we brought you the news that PokerStars would launch a new rewards scheme in 2017 called Stars Rewards. One which offered more immediate gamified rewards during play, rather than accumulated benefits for higher volume (with some high volume players seeing a big drop in overall benefits).

For the first time the rewards between poker, casino and sports will be streamlined. More details have been unveiled today for what players can expect, including:

  • Chests: Players will be awarded with a Chest which includes random rewards. At the higher end of things this can include $1,000, 1 million StarsCoins or a PokerStars Championship package. The more you play, the bigger the Chests.
  • Personalised Rewards: The type of rewards you receive in your chest will reflect your gameplay. For example a sports bettor will get free bets and an MTT regular will get tournament tickets. There will also be StarsCoin rewards to exchange in the PokerStars Store.
  • Boosts: Players will be given the chance to speed up their progress towards their reward for a short period during play with a 'boost', designed to reward consistent play. This presumably is a 'mission' type of feature.
