The 2026 World Series of Poker Main Event Final Table has formed
A 20-day break now for our final nine competitors, all of whom have become millionaires.
The fourth biggest World Series of Poker Main Event in history has formed a final table. 9,208 players have become 9, all of whom are about to have a well-earned break.
With the elimination of Aussie Millions Champion Malcolm Traynor in tenth place, every man left in the competition is now officially a millionaire, though no doubt they will all have their eyes on that $10 million first-place prize.
Leading the way is 22-year-old Lucas Jumalon of the United States, who has more than double the chips of his nearest rival, Rami Hammoud of Canada. Popular bracelet winners Greg Mueller and Michael Gagliano head up the middle of the pack, both with around 30 bbs.
We also have representation from France in the form of Mario Boos, Finland in the form of Lauri Sääskilahti, and Cyprus with a short stack Evagoras Evagoru.

Time for a break...
After two gruelling weeks of poker, everyone now gets a 20-day break as the final table is paused until August 3. This is because the WSOP Main Event has a return broadcaster in the form of ESPN, which clearly doesn't want to clash with the World Cup Final.
They will return to blinds at the 1,000,000/1,500,000 level with a 1,500,000 big blind ante.
It will be interesting to see the impact of this 20-day break. When we used to have the November 9, the players took the opportunity to get coaching, sell action, and acquire sponsorship. The latter being much more difficult in the current patch war era of poker at the World Series. One hopes, however, that ESPN will do its job and help to create new hype for the WSOP, which it so badly needs during this three-week hiatus.
