Bodog security compromised
Bodog Poker recently released an update to their software, in the process discarding all player aliases. This was in the hope of deterring data miners and encouraging amateurs to play on their site.
It appears that the tech team at Bodog HQ haven't done all their homework, however. The video below shows just how Bodog's anonymous tables really aren't anonymous after all. Scary stuff…
Aces Hangout
Yesterday we brought you information about a new online poker room which was using live dealers.
While most of you agree that this is very unlikely to be a hit, perhaps Hettema & Bergsten are onto something with their new poker app.
The well respected development team are currently applying the finishing touches to their new poker experience, Aces Hangout. The game is set to be integrated into Google+’s multi-person video chat feature, Google+ Hangouts. It looks like it could be a winner, allowing players to gauge their opponent’s reactions through a live feed.
What’s more, Aces Hangout is funded by bwin.party, meaning that this has some potential to perhaps find its way to mainstream poker clients someday soon…
High stakes corner
Yesterday proved to be a memorable day for Martin "alexeimartov" Bradstreet. The PLO specialist had a productive 24 hours at the table, bagging $122,421 for his day's work at PokerStars, according to HSDB.
However the poker gods didn't shine so fortuitously on Rui "PeperoniF" Cao, who was biggest loser on the day, dropping $110,001.
EPT Prague day 1A
Last night saw the completion of the first day one flight at EPT Prague.
234 players started the day and nearly half of them were eliminated come the end of play, with Vedzizhev Beslan your chip leader, bagging up 132,200 chips after a good day's work.
A trio of dangerous Brits lurk near the top of the leaderboard with Chris Moorman, James Akenhead and Martins Adeniya all over the 100,000 mark.
Other notable survivors on the day include Vitaly Lunkin, Gus Hansen and Fatima de Melo.
