Negreanu slams Full Tilt’s 'idiot' leadership

Poker superstar Daniel Negreanu is a man who doesn't shy away from speaking the truth.

In the past, "KidPoker" has had his fair share of arguments; it's commonly known that he and Annie Duke have never seen eye to eye, and his voice is often the first heard in the midst of a controversy.

Today we found another example of Negreanu speaking his mind. In this video, he makes it clear that Full Tilt Poker was "led by idiots" and leaves the blame clearly with Howard Ledered and Ray Bitar, referring to them as "buffoons, arrogant idiots who deserve all the venom they're getting".

EPT London

EPT London is in full swing and just 159 players remain after day two. There's a familiar name on top of the chip counts, with PokerStrategist Benny psychobenny Spindler leading the way with 469,800 chips.

Other notables include Sebastian miamiviceRuthenberg (169,900), Doyle Brunson (202,400) and Jason Mercier (88,300).

PokerStars Pro’s in dicey predicament

The LVRJ reported this weekend that two well known poker players had got themselves into a spot of bother at the craps tables at the Wynn Casino in Las Vegas.

Team PokerStars Pro players Leo Fernandez and Veronica Dabul, both from Argentina are now facing a lawsuit, "asking for the return of $700,000 Wynn officials say they illegally won during a month long cheating spree that ended with their arrest on July 18".

The couple are alleged to have cheated the casino by using a method at the dice tables known as 'dice sliding'. The prosecution claim that Hernandez and Dabul often would play "different tables, in different teams, with at least one trying to distract people working at the table during slides".

High stakes corner

This weekend has seen a welcome return to form for one of the online game's biggest names. Brian "aba20" Townsend was once regarded as one of the best high stakes regulars but had suffered over recent years.

His involvement in the Cardrunners scandal coupled with a hefty downswing had meant that online appearances from Townsend had become less and less regular. Now he's residing in Canada it seems that we’re likely to see more of him, especially after a $100,000 winning weekend at the PLO tables.

Other notable winners this weekend were "Ben86" ($105,430) as well as Sami "Lrslzk" Kelopuro ($84,446). The biggest loser over the past 48 hours is "LiangYu" who managed to drop $170,700 over just 486 hands according to HSDB.
