The WSOP Main Event final table starts on Sunday 6th November at 12pm local time, nine will become three and then that trio will return on Tuesday 8th November at 8pm local time to crown the 2011 WSOP Main Event champion. So this gave us a rather obvious pressing question of the week that we asked the pros…

Who do you think is going to win the WSOP Main Event?

Sam Trickett: (Titan pro and high stakes sicko) “I’ll say Ben Lamb but hopefully my friend Eoghan (O’Dea) will ship it...”

Mickey Petersen (Team PokerStars online) “There are a lot of good players, and I’m not too familiar with them, but I’ve played with Heinz Pius online and he is very strong in my opinion.”

Matt Kauffman (PokerStrategy.com News Editor) Phil Collins is a legendary online MTT player and I think he will have the most solid game as a result.

Elky (Team PokerStars Pro and Triple Crown Winner) I'll go with Matt Gianetti, old school player for the win! But it's obviously super close with Ben Lamb also!

Julian Thew (Team Sky Poker, EPT Champion) I'll go for Eoghan O’Dea

Neil Channing (Irish Open Champion) “The Irish have made a t-shirt so the Americans know how to say the name of the new WSOP champion: O N O D” (that’s Eoghan O’Dea by the way!)

Barry Carter (PokerStrategy.com journalist) Matt Giannetti could be the surprise pick here, he is third in chips and brimming with confidence after winning WPT Malta during the break.

Jason Senti (7th WSOP ME 2010) “I've got to go with Ben Lamb or Phil Collins. That said, I played and flipped with Matt Gianetti and he was very good at both.”

James Akenhead (9th in 2009 WSOP) I'll be rooting for Eoghan O'Dea, because he's a good friend of mine and he'll start second in chip stacks. He's a very strong player and we've played together for the past four or five years.

Jesse May (Legendary poker commentator) “Eoghan O'Dea all the way. Because they think he's tight. But he's really the coolest cat on the block."

It seems support is mainly behind Eoghan O’Dea, Matt Gianetti and Ben Lamb with no one believing chip leader Martin Staszko can get over the line, despite Jonathan Duhamel achieving that feat last year.
