Two more operators embrace the Mystery Bounty format
Unibet and 888poker are the latest poker rooms to offer the format that is taking over poker, both live and online.
There is no slowling the rise of Mystery Bounty tournaments in 2022 and now two more operators are getting involved.
Right now Unibet are hosting their first ever Chip Race Mystery Bounty at the returning Unibet Open Malta.
The €550 buy-in side event is now in Day 2 and as well as bounties as large as €10,000, there is also €7,000 added to the prize pool in the form of additional bounties.
Before the event even started it was announced that a further €230 Chip Race Mystery Bounty will take place during the International Poker Open in Dublin on October 30.
888poker offer Mystery Bounties online
Last month 888poker became the 2nd operator to offer this format online, alongside GGPoker. Their $100,000 guaranteed event beat an overlay with the biggest bounty being $10,000.
There will be two further Mystery Bounty events at the upcoming XL Retro Series. There will be a $215 tournament with a $200,000 guarantee as well as a Mini version with a $33 buy-in and $20,000 guarantee - both on October 26.
Given that both 888poker and GGPoker have not made Mystery Bounty tournaments part of the regular schedule and at lower buy-ins, it would suggest that they are still very much experimental formats that are not easy to manage, yet, online.
It does seem inevitable, however, that the Mystery Bounty format will be available at almost every online operator a year from now, as well as on every major tour.
