WPT: Coach Langmann 18th

It wasn't meant to be: Florian 'FA_Morgoth' Langmann had to join the rails as 18th. The final table will be played off by WPT newcomers.

This time, it wasn't a marathon session: The remaining 27 players only needed nine hours before the final table was set. The Main Event of the 'Southern Poker Championships' will be won by a newcomer. The best shot at it has Soheil Shamseddin who has more chips with his 3 million than his two closest pursuers together.

Stars at the Rails

Florian 'fa_morgoth' Langmann had to content himself with rank 18. After Toby Tatum was able to double through
fa_morgoth, our coach put his remaining chips into the middle with as he only had a few big blinds left anyway. The dominating player of the day, Soheil Shamseddin, called
his all-in and showed .
As a clear underdog, fa_morgoth
needed help to survive. The board, however, didn't change anything, so that $15,823 were added to the bankroll of our coach at the end of the day.

Hevad Khan and Vanessa Rousso (picture on the left) were eliminated shortly before the final table as well. While Khan won $21,098 as 14th, Rousso stumbled at the final table bubble for the second time in her career. With seven remaining players, she pushed all-in with , and again it was Shamseddin who called. He held , and already hit his set on the flop of , so that Rousso needed a runner-runner straight to remain in the tournament. The on the turn, though, sealed her deal, and her tourney was over. $79,117 probably made her feel better.
