WPT Headed For Barcelona

With the WPT stop in Las Vegas soon coming to an end, the WPT will head for Europe where Casino Barcelona will be the host of the WPT Spanish Championship.

The World Poker Tour is currently making its stop at Bellagio, Las
Vegas with the $25,000 Championship yet to be played from the 18 to the 25th of April. With the conclusion of the action there, the WPT will then head for Europe, where it will make several stops.

First stop on the schedule will be in Venice from May 6 to May 10, as the
WPT Main Event will come to Italy for the first time. The WPT has partnered with bwin for this event which will broadcast it on its Web-TV channel.

The following
stop will be in Barcelona, taking place from
the 24th to the 30th of June and Casino Barcelona will be hosting the €5,000 + €300 WPT Spanish Championship. Last year, the event attracted 253
players, which generated a total prize pool of $1,993,071.

After its stop in Spain, the WPT will move on to Cyprus for the first time ever, as Merit
Hotel and Casino will host the Championship event which will take place from
September 4 to 12. The main event there will have a $10,000 + $300 buy-in.

Cyprus has thus become the most recent addition to the WPT's schedule, as both a stop in Italy and Morocco have been added earlier this year.
