WSOPE Berlin starts today
The World Series of Poker Europe is back after its last event in 2013, for 16 days of poker action with ten bracelets up for grabs.
It returns for the first time in Berlin, Germany, after previous outings in London, Cannes and Enghien-les-Bains. The festivities at the Spielbank Berlin Casino will be unlike any of the previous WSOPE events, as they take place just after the infamous Oktoberfest celebrations in Germany, so there will be a celebratory atmosphere in the air.
Speaking of which, the schedule includes the 'Oktoberfest' event, which like this summer's Colossus event, features a much cheaper-than-usual buy-in of €550. There is also a €550 buy-in PLO event this year.
Then of course there is the €10,450 WSOPE Main Event on October 18. A tournament some consider the toughest No Limit event in poker, and which has previously been won by Annette Obrestad, John Juanda, Phil Hellmuth and Adrian Mateos.
