It took ten hours before svansa finished the Sunday Million as fourth. Ten hours full of action and suspense, which also enticed countless railbirds from the community who shared the thrill in the PokerStrategy forum. Naturally, svansa thanked everybody for the support afterwards.

"Many thanks once again for the congratulations and the railbirding at the final table. I really enjoyed the support. Thanks @ Community."

In the decisive hand, svansa already hit the top pair aces on the flop, but his opponent received the runner-runner for the flush. "Damn" was svansa's first comment about the hand. Even though the joy about the cash predominated, some sadness could be felt about the lost hand.

Sunday Million on PokerStars"I think it's a bid sad, there was clearly a chance for more. twirlpro was the best player at the table, but I wouldn't have minded the HU."

Nonetheless, it was his biggest career cash so far with $72,809, and it will at least ease his worries for the foreseeable future. His success becomes even more awe-inspiring when one considers that the unbelievable amount of 8,001 players had signed up this Sunday.

In the German version of the Our successes forum, svansa reviewed the tourney once again from his point of view. Here now a few quotes:

First of all I have to admit that I only bought in ten minutes before the tournament began. After my best cash game month so far, I wanted to treat myself to a Sunday major once again.

Up to the money ranks, I only had one hairy situation. I was already slightly on tilt as I was extremely card dead, and I then made a re-steal move with A8o in the SB, only to suck out luckily against AK. Afterwards, nothing really happened for quite a while.

In the first hand after the bubble, I received QQ UTG and ran into KK with it. Luckily, it was only a shorty. Afterwards, I kept my head above the water with many steals/re-steals until only two tables were left.

And now probably the key hand:

The decisive hand

Founded in 2000, the provider PokerStars is counted amongst the veterans of online poker. Based on the number of members, it is also the biggest provider to date. PokerStars became known and popular due to its large offer of tournaments and small limits, which also enables newbies and amateur players to enjoy the game. Thus the poker skills of the average players and opponents at PokerStars are considered rather limited.
