The World Series of Poker Europe commences its sixth run this week with a €2,700 6-max No Limit Hold'em event beginning this year's poker festival in Cannes. Six events will play out before a winner is crowned in the €10,450 Main Event.
The sixth annual World Series of Poker Europe runs from September 21 - October 5 at the Hotel Majestic/Le Croisette Casino Barrière in Cannes, France.
A total of 7 bracelet events will run, with a special €51,000 Super High Roller Rebuy event capping proceedings and running alongside the conclusion of the €10,450 Main Event.
Also on the schedule is another €10,450 buy-in, this one a Mix-Max No Limit Hold'em, as well as two Omaha events and a Shootout. The series begins with a 6-max No Limit Hold'em event that carries a buy-in of €2,700.

The WSOPE 2007 - 2011
Last year, Elio 'smokrokbyflock' Fox won the inaugural Cannes-hosted WSOPE Main Event for €1,400,000 after defeating a record field of 593 players, adding to his already-impressive online tournament resumé worth over $2.6 million in cashes.
Fox defeated a fellow online tournament giant to net his title, besting UK legend Chris 'moorman1' Moorman heads-up when his 
held up against the Brit's 
after the chips went in preflop.
