Hey there,
hope you dont mind the english, i can't speak dutch, only german & english, so i write in english :)

i am planing an holiday trip to the netherlands.

me + girlfriend by car want to drive to amsterdam and later on to the sea, probably zandvoort or something.

but i really dont want it to be the normal boring holiday trip, i want to experience a lot and see holland.

so i'd like some tips for my holiday trip. to give you ideas what i wanna do, i just give you some examples:
- i really love food, so extraordinary restaurants are always welcome, doesnt need to be expensive, something maybe like a seafood restaurant directly at a cliff which serves the best seafood or just the best homemade soup from aunt anna in a tiny bistro, other than that i was planing on visiting jamie oliver restaurant in amsterdam :)
- the things that holland is known for, so e.g. visit some cheese producing AND TASTING or stuff like that
- special bars in amsterdam and a good club there ?
- some other, maybe more outdoor, stuff, like e.g. renting a canoe...
- maybe a nice boat trip on the sea, maybe a short trip, 2 days out with one night on a boat
- i will surely visit this ape zoo called apenheul !

or something totally different, just wanted to give you guys an example what i am looking for, btw i am 23years old, if that's any help to you

i hope you can help me improve my holiday trip! 8]

If you were going to Rotterdam I could help you.

This saturday there is a gay parade in Amsterdam, it's up to you if you want to go there:D

If you're planning to go to the beach, don't go to zandvoort, but go to Bloemendaal. Much better, with some nice party's at the beachbars.

If you want inexpensive good food, forget Holland.

i was just stating, that i dont necessarily need to spend 300€ on a dinner :)

rotterdam could be an option too, if it's worth it :)

and why Bloemendaal, whats better that or what is not so good in zandvoort? (i just wrote zandvoort, because everybody goes there)

next saturday (08-08) there is the Rotterdam Dance Parade

16-08 there is Bavaria City Racing in Rotterdam (F1 and other stuff through the city streets)

you can eat in the Euromast (92 meters with a nice view over the modern city of Rotterdam), you can also slide down: abseilen!!

if you like football, you can watch a match of Feyenoord Rotterdam in De Kuip, the most beautifull Dutch stadium. There are matches at 02-08 and 23-08, that you can visit without a special pass

If you want to smoke some weed, this is also no problem in Rotterdam, there are a lot of coffyshops

You can explore the harbours with the Spido (it's a ship lol)

Dutch Seafood + Decent clubbing place = Renesse (South-West of Holland)
Apenheul is near the German border so u might want to take a look there at the beginning or at the end of your trip!

Cheese tasting = places like Edam or Gouda

Renesse is nice, but it's filled with Germans and everything closes at 2:00

Alkmaar! With our famous cheese market and the cheese museum, where you can taste a lot of cheese.

I would rent a boat in Friesland for a couple of days.
Make a small trip around the lakes there, and sleep on the boat.
Visit some villages you pass by, and have a couple of really relaxed days.

Nein

But there really isn't a lot to do in the Netherlands... You could (should) visit Amsterdam for like a day, but then you've seen quite a lot of the city already. Zandvoort just has too many tourists, go somewhere else where they have cool beach parties aswell.

as for food: theres a good korean retaurant in Amsterdam which I forgot the name of. If you like sushi you're better off in Rotterdam at either Sumo or ShabuShabu(think sumo is the easiest to find, but i like the ShabuShabu atmosphere more. For (standard) seafood I'm pretty sure that the best restaurants are at the coast, so I assume ones at Renesse should be fine

Going out in Amsterdam is pretty nice. Not sure what kind of clubbing you like though. For something more exclusive I'd suggest Jimmy Woo , for more common going out Melkweg or Paradiso should be good ;)

oh and definately visit gayparade if u're in amsterdam at that time, just for the experience even though its kinda gay

Las Palmas in Rotterdam should be one of the best in Holland right? (from a Dutch tv chef with only seafood)

As Zazizo allready suggested is renting a boat in Friesland or the IJselmeer really nice especially when you like to sail...
About Renesse: I suppose the're to many drunk 16 year olds at this time :P

Have fun ;)
