Can you tell me about your week ? How do you study the game, do you just play ? What is your focus on session reviews ?

what can I tell you about my week? it starts monday and ends sunday

study the game: I normally watch a lot of videos. the last series I started is "preflop perfection" by mbml

Spoiler

https://www.pokerstrategy.com/forum/thread.php?postid=1905602#post1905602

but I have to confess that when playing so many hands/day it doesn't make much sense to watch a very theoretically series because I can't concentrate any more.
next month I will have closer look and work through this series.
I watch of some pokerstrategy vids, I normally download all the NL videos from CR/RIO/Ivey/DC etc. of course I don't watch all of them, I select some series or session reviews which are interesting.
today I joined the platin coaching with internet (I don't visit coachings very often, but sometimes I do)
sessionreviews: normally I mark hands with difficult spots in the session. I post these in a skype group, sometimes I ask this kooort-guy for his opinion  and sometimes I ask eroticjesus (German coach)

I often record a session and comment it, this makes me stay focused because I have to explain the decisions I make. it also avoids autopilot, for example stealing any2 from BTN without checking the BB and SB defend stats.
sometimes I watch these vids. they are of course not for public, because I often say smthg like " du dummer hurensohn" "du scheiß mongo" or "du dummer idiot" and sometimes "verdammter penner"
I think overall I could do better sessionreviews. of course at the moment this is difficult, you can't play 5-8k hands a day and then make perfect sessionreviews. sometimes I sit out and check a hand in repayer or handviewer, or check the biggest pots I lost.

before she had to quit poker I sometimes discussed with anninha, who was the star in the portuguese comunity. miss her _cry:

Started doing like you and recording some sessions. Also reducing the tables and focus on the comments and the why's . It helps a lot :D
I'm losing value on my session reviews because I don't have HUD, and the zoom hands cant be converted in Universal Replayer... But while I'm playing I mark some hands with boom and analyse them later...

I folded, but watched to see what the others had, would have been a nice pot

after making some losses in the last days, I finally had a good winning session again.

and it's half time:
cleared 50% of the bonus and reached 75k hands today.

small update, 96k hands now played, 1st 300$ bonus cleared

made some shots at NL50, but I will stay at NL25 mainly. I wouldn't say people are better at NL50, the game is maybe a little more aggressive, at least the people 3bet more.

as I made some changes in my preflop game, (3bets, play against 3bets, 4bets) I prefer to play NL25 and get more confident in these spots. I think preflop it's o.k. but postflop I'm not always sure if I make the correct decisions.

Maybe I will do some more shots next week, I didn't get my ass kicked, I think my performance was overall o.k.

not sure I will play tomorrow, maybe some hands at night, I have 2 weeks left and 2/3 of the 150k hands are almost done. next bonus starts monday. I think I'll just relax with my sonand monday I'll return to the tables in a good condition. there is not much we can do atm, it's cold, lake or sea are no options. maybe the the sun shines and we can play soccer or do smthg else outside.

have a nice weekend

nice session today, but very only 1,7k hands. I had no internet in the morning, so I went to the beach.
I wanted to play more, maybe I'll play another session later. but I can't concentrate any more, so I take a break and see if my connection is fine later. the problem is that later is only traffic at NL10, ok to get sample, but I would prefer to play NL25.

todays session I played mixed NL25 and NL50, running good at both stakes.

some hands:

this one maybe too aggressive, but I think I can play it this way. villain was fishy, 30/2

I flopped a OESD and decided to bet twice, when I hit on the river I went for a checkraise, hoping he would bluff a busted flushdraw or bet an 8 or somthg.
I think his plan was to raise me on the river with his set, and he didn't expect to get checkraised, he insta3betted and I could get it in
good he didn't raise the turn, I would have folded.

SB: $71 (142 bb)
Hero (BB): $51.28 (102.6 bb)
UTG: $50 (100 bb)
MP: $62.11 (124.2 bb)
CO: $33.02 (66 bb)
BTN: $56.80 (113.6 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 6 7
UTG folds, MP calls $0.50, 3 folds, Hero checks

Flop: ($1.25) 8 5 3 (2 players)
Hero bets $0.79, MP calls $0.79

Turn: ($2.83) 2 (2 players)
Hero bets $1.79, MP calls $1.79

River: ($6.41) 9 (2 players)
Hero checks, MP bets $5, Hero raises to $16.87, MP raises to $32, Hero raises to $48.20 and is all-in, MP calls $16.20

Results: $102.81 pot ($3 rake)
Final Board: 8 5 3 2 9
Hero showed 6 7 and won $99.81 ($48.53 net)
MP showed 5 5 and lost (-$51.28 net)

I'm not sure about my rivershove in this hand, now I think it's ok

villain tight but fishy, 20/13, raise flop 20%
he minraises flop, but vs 20%flopraise I think I have an easy vall here with my OESD. Turn I have the nuts and bet again, maybe a CR would have been better, but I didn't want to give him the opportunity to check behind. in fact I expected him to shove his sets or 2pairs and fold his crap.
river brings the flush but I didn't see many flushes for him, KJs would make sense, maybe Q6s. I was sure to win this hand most of the time and shoved, I think there is no way I fold the straight here, so checking was no option.

I was surprised when I saw his hand, didn't expect this. his flopraise is total random and imo bad play, he has nothing than 2 BD draws.

haven't been in the portuguese forum these days, was a little tired of poker. played only some small sessions cash game and a few MTT.

tonight I decided to play 3 tourneys on stars, and I won for the first time. I'm happy and proud now, I often got ITM but I won 3 or 4 times the BI. I've never won a big prize before (except 3rd place in the freelancer freeroll). last week for example I was 12th in a 5K GTD (almost 400 players) at Party and I won 80$, BI was 20$. I played more than 5 hours, then I lost a flip and game over.
