Hello Marcello,

Thank you for your email and allowing us to be of assistance.

We have forwarded your email to our Refunds Team. They will review your claim and respond as soon as possible.

The log files you have provided indicate there is a problem with corrupted memory or possibly a corrupted hard drive. Fortunately there are few simple steps that can be taken to resolve this particular problem.

First ensure you have performed a complete virus scan of your system. If you do not have a virus program we recommend using the following free online scan.

http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner

Next, please run the Scan Disk utility by opening a Command Prompt or DOS prompt

For Windows XP or later:

1) Click on the Start Button
2) Click on My Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt
3) In the black window enter the command "CHKDSK /F" (without the quotes)

It is possible that the problem is related to spyware or adware, third party software that secretly installs itself on your PC. We recommend the following scans be used to ensure your system is clean.

MalwareBytes Anti-Malware: http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?part=dl-10804572&subj=dl&tag=button

Super AntiSpyware: http://www.superantispyware.com/download.html

All of the above are free, and work well in conjunction with each other, finding things the other does not. Cleaning your system may free up more RAM and remove items from your system that affect your connection and our software functionality.

We would also recommend performing a registry scan and make sure that is clean. You can find a very good free program on the following link.

http://www.ccleaner.com/

Once you have performed the suggested scans above please uninstall PokerStars from your system and reinstall.

You may wish to back up "user.ini", "notes.xml" and "notes.user.xml" (where 'user' is your user ID) from the PokerStars directory. The easiest way to back up these files is to open the software and click on "Help" -> "Open My Settings Folder". Then locate those two files and copy them to a safe temporary location. Then uninstall PokerStars.

In Windows XP, go to Control Panel -> Add and Remove Programs and remove all PokerStars items.

After you have uninstalled it, restart your computer once the software has been removed. When the computer has restarted, download and install a fresh copy of the software from our website:

http://www.pokerstars.com/download.html

Be sure to restore the two saved files once reinstalled, to do this please go to the 'Help' menu and then back to 'Open My Settings Folder'. Then close PokerStars and copy the files back into the folder. If you are asked to overwrite any files accept. You should then have no additional problems.

Please let us know any time we may be of further assistance.

Regards,

Então, to jogando 250+ por dia.

Terminada a auditoria, enviei o seguinte email:

Hello,

please review these tournaments: (I'm sure that some of these were missed)

492946214, 492946319, 492946235, 492946042, 492946305, 492946296, 492946302, 492950278, 492948972, 492946415, 492950243, 492949485, 492950296, 492950316, 492950351, 492950335, 492950361, 492953303, 492953370, 492952051, 492954396, 492954346, 492953057, 492954429, 493434314, 493434136, 493439525, 493434624, 493433542, 494753615, 494756902, 494757607, 494755789, 494758727, 494758997, 494760983, 494761926, 494762048, 494762998, 494764146, 494762157

Note that:

1 - I didn't had connection issues, I was playing at another tables at same time

2 - My computer don't have any problem. I use Autocad 2011 and another heavy programs here and made several tests after asked by Pokerstars tech support.

3 - Only at Jan/4 I realized that I was having a problem with Pokerstars software. I was with 4 opened tables at my screen, but there were 17 at 'Requests -> Registered in Tournaments'. I used this option but the missed tables didnt open when I click in them. When the I finished the 4 open tournaments I closed and reopened the Pokerstars software so the #494762157 appeared, that was my last missed tourney, the others were already finished but I just saw the last 3 hands at #494762157 with less than 1 blind.

4 - Yesterday I followed the tech support tips and made the Pokerstars software reinstall. I didn't have any problems after that. Maybe I had some cracked file after the last update.

Please look into this matter carefully and kindly and reply by return.

Regards,

Marcello.

E hoje recebí a seguinte resposta:

Hello Marcello,

Thank you for your patience in waiting for our response regarding your tournament refund request.

The nature of the Internet is such that incidents like these can happen for reasons beyond both your and our control. In this case, I am able to confirm that your disconnections were not caused by our servers as at the time of your disconnection, the remaining players at your table continued to play without difficulty in your absence.

We have reviewed your playing history for the tournaments in which you were experiencing some connection issues:

T#492949485 - Materially affected. Entry was $30.

T#494764146 - Materially affected. Entry was $15.

As we consider you a valued player at PokerStars, we have issued a credit of $765 to your account for the tournaments that were adversely affected.

Please understand again that we did not suffer any server-side problems or disconnection during these tournaments. Your issues seem to have been local to your computer or Internet Service Provider (ISP); otherwise many players would have been disconnected, and that was not the case.

Part of the inherent risk of playing poker on the Internet is the possibility that Internet connections may fail for any number of reasons. From a practical business standpoint, it is impossible for us to be responsible for the Internet connections of our players.

Rule 18 of our tournament rules states, in part:

"18. By participating in a tournament, a player accepts the risk of Internet disconnection, due to problems with the connection between their computer
and the servers, lag or freeze or some other problem in the player's computer or the Internet.

* a. PokerStars does not accept any responsibility for a player disconnect except in the case of a server crash."

The complete rule list is available on the PokerStars website:

http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/tournaments/rules/

For these reasons, we cannot make a practice of refunding tournament buy-ins in large batches of events like this and expect to continue running tournaments.

In closing, we appreciate your business and hope that you continue to enjoy playing at PokerStars.
