Blindsteals in the Short Stack Strategy

The blinds, in Texas Hold'em, are mandatory bets which two players in every round must make. This way, there is already some money in the pot before any cards are dealt. Because this money is blindly staked, it's a popular target, and many players attack it. Having reached Silver status, the time has come for you to incorporate this element into your game. This quiz allows you to see how fit you are already are.

Questions 1:

What are the basic parameters of a steal?

raise with the intention of attacking the blinds
open-raise from CO, BU and SB
raise from UTG

Question 2:

Why do you only steal with a raise to 3 instead of 4BB?

To be able to fold more cheaply against a re-steal.
Because all other good players do this, too.
Because you also attack the blinds with weaker hands.

Question 3:

Why should you steal with the same default stealing range from BU and SB?

Because you are already loose enough on the BU and the weaker hands simply can't be played profitably.
Because SB steals are rarely respected.
On the BU, you are up against two players, but you will play in position if you get called. In the SB, you might just have one opponent, but you play out of position. These effects cancel each other out.
