Hello. My name is Milos, I live in Serbia. Recently I've got a job offer from Moscow and I'm considering moving there.
But, I read somewhere that Russian government passed a law that will make gambling illegal in most of the big cities including Moscow, of course. Now, I want to ask you guys is this true, and can someone tell me more about this, does this apply to card rooms and poker rooms?

Poker is considered to be sport in Russia. We even have a federation of sport poker.
There is a law which says that the casinos should move from big cities to some zones but that doesn't affect pokerclubs or pokerrooms, only casino games like roulette,blackjack,slots, so the games where it's imossible to win during a long period of time. They are planning to create "Russian Las Vegas" This law doesn't affect online casinos anyway.
I should of mentioned that I was asking about live rooms and clubs, not online. Anyway, thanks, I get it now. I think I'll definitely move to Moscow! See you!
