WSOP Event #13: Stammen Takes The Gold Bracelet
The $2,500 No Limit Event, or Event #13, came to an end not long ago, when Keven "Stamdogg" Stammen took down Angel Guillen and 1,087 other players, cashing in $506,786 and the gold bracelet.
Event #13 of the World Series of Poker featured a prize pool of $2,502,400 generated by 1,088 players, which was rapidly thinned down to just 20 in a couple of days. Only one would take the bracelet in the end, and that man was Keven "Stamdogg" Stammen, who also earned $506,786 for his accomplishment.
Each of the previous days was 13 hour-long, which made Stammen's victory that much more deserved, as he managed to outlast and outplay 1,087 opponents in order to cash in over $500,000 and the coveted WSOP gold bracelet.
Before the heads-up phase between Angel Guillen and Keven Stammen began, we saw Shawn Glines getting eliminated in third place by the future winner of the entire event.

After taking some time to think about this, Stammen went all-in and Glines called immediately, showing 
. However, Stammen showed

Because of this, Glines had to settle for third place and $202,694. All in all, it took just 70 hands to see the final ten come down to just two players.
After eliminating Glines, Stammen entered the heads-up phase with a comfortable chip lead over Angel Guillen.
After 19 heads-up hands, the decisive move came along, when Stammen raised to 150,000 from the button. Guillen called and both players saw a flop of

Guillen checked, Stammen bet 225,000, which was then raised to 775,000 by Guillen. Stammen went all-in with 
, only to be called by Guillen's

The turn brought a 
, which gave Guillen some hopes, but the shattered them, sending him home in second place for $312,800. These pocket jacks earned Keven Stammen $506,786 and the priceless gold WSOP bracelet - congratulations to him.
