Andrii Novak wins the World Series of Poker Online Main Event

GGPoker's online version of the World Series of Poker Main Event has come to a conclusion after attracting a bumper field. 6,008 players created the third-largest version of this $5,000 online tournament, creating a first prize of just under $4 million.

Nine players from eight different countries were left to duke it out, all having previously guaranteed themselves $491,676 for making the final table. Six of those players would become millionaires.

In the end, it was Ukrainian player Andrii Novak who took it down for $3,931,259 after he defeated Simon Beckmann of Austria heads-up. Beckmann himself captured $3,030,877 and his fellow countryman Fernando Jose came fourth for $1,802,142. It's been a pretty good series for Austria, as Bencb, who now lives in Austria, won the Millionaire Maker event earlier this month.

Novak is not tremendously well known in poker circles, but he does have $485,767 in live poker earnings, making him 72nd on Ukraine's all-time money list. He now joins the ranks of the all-time greats, having won one of the most prestigious bracelets and the bigger prizes in WSOP history.
