Commerce Casino Hold'em Series Coming in September

The Commerce Casino will host a tournament series with a total of 16 events on the schedule. However, this will be no ordinary series as many events will have interesting twists to them.

The Commerce Casino in Los Angeles moved the California State Poker
Championship to May this year, thus making its schedule of poker events
for Autumn rather dry. To make up for it, the Commerce Casino will host
a tournament series with sixteen events.

The "Commerce Casino Hold'em Series"
will take place from 10th to 25th of September, featuring events with
buy-ins from as low as $220 to up to $2,500 for the Championship Event.
Virtually all of the events will have a guaranteed prize pool between
$50,000 and $500,000.

Tournament series like never before

Besides a tempting guaranteed prize pool,
the series will also introduce some interesting novelties. The first
tournament, the four-day $220 NL Hold'em will have three starting days
and a player who gets eliminated on Day 1A can come back and try again
on Day 1B. The same applies for players who get eliminated on Day 1B,
as they will be able to try again on Day 1C.

feature huge guarantees and unique tournaments that have never been
seen before in poker. The diversity of events and unusual formats will
continue to make Hold'em tournaments at Commerce Casino exciting,
stimulating and rewarding for our players," said Matt Savage (pictured right).

Other novelties
include a double elimination heads-up tournament in which the players
have to lose twice before they get eliminated. The $355 Knockout Bounty
tournament will have a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool and for each
eliminated player, the winning player will receive $100 from the
Commerce Casino.

On 23rd of September, the $1,600 Ironman
Challenge will take place. Being another one of Commerce Casino's
original events, it will put the players to a test of endurance as
there will be no scheduled breaks. The players are allowed to leave
their seats but the tournament goes on without stopping until the
winner is determined. The payout structure is also unique for this
tournament, as 50% of the prize pool goes to the first place finisher
and no deals can be made at the final table.
