Laurent Tapie Considers New ISPT Stop

The potential buyer of Full Tilt Poker is already thinking about the second stop for his International Stadiums Poker Tour. If the FTP takeover is completed, the ISPT would run on Full Tilt software.

According to EGR Magazine, Laurent Tapie of Group Bernard Tapie (GBT), is planning to have a second International Stadiums Poker Tour (ISPT) in the first quarter of 2013.

Paris and Monaco are the two main places that Tapie has his eyes on at the moment. He mentioned that the Stade Louis II in Monaco is a particularly suitable stadium for the event, as it should be able to host 30,000 players.

The first stop of the ISPT has been announced in October 2011 and is now pending licensing approval. Should it receive the license, the event will be played out on the Wembley Stadium this September. Tapie said:

"Wembley Stadium is already booked, and we just need to get our licence before getting a date for it - if we can do things quickly we can launch in September this year, or alternatively we can hold the first event in April 2013. We'll decide which by the end of February."

Laurent Tapie also mentioned that should the Full Tilt Poker takeover happen before the ISPT kicks off in September, they will use Full Tilt's software for those events. He did add that there are other software options, however.

The structure of the ISPT sees up to 30,000 players competing for a prize pool of €30 million split between the main event and a set of side events.

The International Stadium Poker Tour was founded by Laurent Tapie, his father Bernard and former Partouche Interactive colleague Prosper Masquelier.
