In Germany the 9th of May is no official holiday, although we have a bank holiday this year but this is just a coincidence ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feast_of_the_Ascension ).

This of course does not mean that we are Nazis or anything. We just have different days to remember the shadows in the German past.

I think the ones of us who are willing to travel to Russia to celebrate with you will book their flights now and you will see them in a few hours, the others will stay at home drinking beer and eating Sauerkraut.
