I created a ChatGPT login at https://chat.openai.com/chat
So far, I've asked it one question: "What is the best way to learn Spanish?"

I've been playing NLHE on PokerStars for sole purpose of collecting money from their "cash race" leaderboards[1]
There are several goals:

I was trying to play Bulls and Cows with it, but although it explains the rules perfectly to me, it has a very hard time giving me the correct hints. After the third time I tried to explain the mistakes, it took quite some time to respond. And on the 4rd time just gave me 0 bulls 0 cows for every single digit, apologised if I was upset and when I asked what was the number, just said this:
"I'm sorry, I didn't actually choose a number since we were just playing a hypothetical game. If you'd like, I can think of a number now and we can start a new game."

But it seems to spew out a ton of good looking code for every complex programming question, so that's awesome...

I used to be extremely good at Mastermind though — which apparently is based on it.

Looks like you can't have duplicates in your guesses in this version... that throws a wrench in my usual Mastermind strategy.

I have played several games on that "Math is Fun" website as part of my poker warm-up recently. I suppose I might as well add that game to the list.

ChatGPT totally sux at Math

even worse at it than I am.
In trying to calculate the probability of succeeding in the 888 Card Strike promotion I asked it to calculate the probability.
It made several attempts, all wrong.
How did I know that they were wrong? They all either calculated the probability as 1 (you always win) or the formula blew up — no answer was possible.
Along the way there were several more.

So I reduced the scenario to this:

:diamond:   Select a card as the target card for illustration we'll use A♠:
:heart:   Two cards are drawn from the deck.
:club:   Calculate the probability that 1 of those cards will match the target card.

The chatbot got that wrong as well, returning the following:

P(Ace of Spades in first or second card) = (1/52) * (1/51) ≈ 0.000377

I pretty much knew that that was incorrect, Since running a simulation over a million times yields a value of 0.0385
Using combinatorics, we know that there are 1326 two-card combinations in a 52-card deck
51 of those two-card combos contain the target card, so the probability of hitting the target card is 51/1326 which just so happens to equal 0.038461538

The problem is that the two events are not completely independent, since if the first card is a match, the probability of matching the second card is zero.
So the probability of a match on the first card is still 1/52 (1)
For the second card, the situation is different.
The first card must miss (probability 51/52) then the probability of the second hitting would be (1/51)
For this case, you multiply the two together to get the overall probability so (51/52) * (1/51) (2)
To get the overall probability add (1) and (2) together.
So:
P(match) = (1/52) + (51/52) * (1/51) which not surprisingly = 0.0385

Now to extend this to more target cards...
