I have so an old HP Compaq 6710b laptop, that last ran Windows XP,
I've installed Ubuntu 24.04 on it, and am playing around.

I've only ever used linux on servers in an industrial environment, so this is the bottom-left of the learning curve for me.

Do any members use linux as their daily OS?
Does anyone use it for playing poker?

Which pokersites can you play on Linux? Like Betsafe browser version only? I have quit Linux and moved to businesses more, such as Microsoft Windows, as it is more business-oriented. But yeah Linux is great for discovery, learning, hacking...

The installation was corrupt, and subsequently I have not been able to actually complete the installation.
As far as I can determine, the installation media is fine.
I've used two different USB flash drives, and two different tools for putting the .iso onto the drives.
All installations fail at the same place.
Hard disk tests show that the computer's drive is fine, as are both USB drives.

For my next trick, I'll try Fedora instead of Ubuntu
