Looking for a Software

Glad to be back in the forum, it's been years since the last time I was here. Anyway, I have a work-related question I hope our I.T. members here can help me. I work in a logistics company and I manage all our warehouses. We supply various clients so our items are assorted from ship spare parts, oil, lubricants, mess items, office supplies, etc. Going back to my question, I am looking for a system that can control how we want to view, organize and report our energy consumption so we can craft data-driven evaluations on where and how to save energy costs. Apparently there is ready made solution for this or do you recommend that we have it designed by a software developer which I'm sure is more expensive.

To be honest, i am not quite familiar with the software you are looking for. Have tried googling it? Or maybe you could look for energy management companies, i'm sure they have the software you are looking for.

Thanks. I have actually googled it as well but I'd like a suggestion based on personal experience. Statements could reliable that way, I believe so. Anyway, I have read about energy benchmarking solution and this is quite interesting. Again, the only issue I have will be the costing. Anyone who can give feedback about this? Thanks in advance.

Hi, freedomisland

from a question by freedomisland
I am looking for a system that can control how we want to view, organize and report our energy consumption so we can craft data-driven evaluations on where and how to save energy costs.

If an employee will need to collect and enter data manually into a system, the time cost can quickly become much more that the energy cost saved.

In the last place I worked all our energy use could be downloaded from our utilities -- Natural Gas, Electricity and water -- their meters collected the data, and they made it available to us.

Other information could be collected from our HVAC system.

We did not have a system to track the usage for gas and water, but we did have a system that gave us detailed data about our electricity consumption.
I can no longer remember what that software was called, but it was recommend by our electrical utility.

Hope that helped...
VS
