Hi,

I recently picked up playing poker again and revisited the beginner articles.

In order to master the BSS starting hand chart I made a training app.

I would like to share this: https://poker-trainer.surge.sh/

WDYT?

Seems decent, but it depends per limit how aggressive you can open pre-flop I think.

Cheers,

Yeah, maybe just stick to NL2.

so the app is fine, but those ranges are older then 2010, not good even for nl2

It's very easy to change. But why is this still on PokerStrategy if it is so outdated?

Hello friends,

The hand chart you are referring to has been reworked several times if I recall correctly, the last change has been made around 3 years ago, anyway the changes were cosmetic. This chart is still a good guide for people who have never tried Texas Hold'em, it was created to give you some basic knowledge and a first strategy that you can apply at the tables during your first games for real money. Don't expect more than a solid base from those charts :) If anyone is seeking more advanced materials, our library is huge (articles, videos, courses like The Beginner Course) and here you can find an extensive series where you can learn how to play particular hands.

Remember that you always have to start somewhere if you want to learn new things, otherwise you might just give up too soon or get overwhelmed :)

Enjoy!
