Well I didn't see the whole history only this hand and the comments you made meanwhile, and in that context his move made perfect sense. You were even thinking on folding, so from my perspective yeah it could seem so that this was his though process. Just because someone is a spewmonkey shouldn't be underestimated. Everyone, I mean literally everyone can cause surprises. The other side can do magic too. You do your adaptation, never bluff, never fold etc.. and a day you see that you are being valuebet to death and you realize that you were led by the nose.

he was just enjoying playing wild thats all. no need to analyze him. the fun thing about maniacs is that they cant be analyzed. They do irrational things like we do rational. making it a puzzle to ever find out what in the world they are thinking and why. Something if you spent your entire life on wouldn't be able to comprehend.

Sure, this would be fine, if this was a TAG/LAG player and not just some maniac who is randomly pushing the buttons (mostly the bet/raise one, tho). I mean, do you really think this is his thought process when making this play? I'm sure he'll do the same move in 10 other situations and fortunately for him, it somehow made sense in this particular hand, but not in 9 others.
