Ok, so I have been working on the website for the last week or so, writing some content, polishing a couple of things and changing a few layout things. I am creatively terrible, so its not easy. I found a name I liked and went with it, hopefully it will grow on people but I dont want it to be the reason people click or dont click on the site.

http://wugwug.com/

In the site you have my Blog where I will be updating every few weeks.

http://wugwug.com/category/blog/

And then I will be doing free content, interviews with players and podcasts.

There is absolutely no way for me to monetery gain right now from the site. I explain all my reasons in the blog and thus linking here is fine.

The content will be what I will hope is "easy read" content that is actually very viable. In poker I often see the following two things

1- Content that is so advanced and is only appreciated by very few people
2- Content that is just so simple that its boring

I want to be somewhere in the middle there where I dont write about GTO or super complex math problems but I write lots of articles about delicate parts of the game that I feel people struggle with. I will be making free videos for all stakes and will really be trying to make it very active.

As well as the strategy content I want to introduce cool people to you. There are SO many characters playing poker that you would never know or ever associate to play poker. I will try to interview as many of these guys as possible. The In The Tank is empty right now, but just done an interview with "Coopah" and should be a pretty fun read.

Ill of course still be a very active member of this community and keep posting all throughout the forum as well as in this thread and of course continue with videos, coachings and hand evaluations!

Lots and lots of love here

Looks good! I like the name and think is fine.

Barrelling betty and One Step Ahead articles were my favourites. Very Sun Tsu _biggrin:

Now I have a question about raising limper ranges. I did a player analysis today(on my Nov Marathon page) and found out that I'm isolating limpers with a very narrow range.

I see his raise limper range is 32% and when he does this he's making 178bb/100. He cbets these >80%

Mine is 22%. This looks like I may have a massive leak...

His IP raise limp ranger is nearing 38%, while his SB, BB raise limping range is 27.5%.
Mine is
BTN 30%
CUT 24%
MP 11%
SB 17%
BB 22%

I could probably be raising someone else's isolation raise with those ranges...

Ideally, I was hoping you could give me your 'Raised with Previous Limpers' stat by postion over a decent sample and I could work from that. But I understand if you don't want to and any help would be appreciated. :f_biggrin:

Very nice articles. I have been lately thinking about some of the stuff you said. I noticed weak regs are very easy to exploit and so many autoprofit spots, they play their hand face up so often. Sometimes I feel like playing vs maniac fish is harder than vs weak regular, lol.

Great contribution!!! Only, dont you have the feeling the more such sites exist, the harder competition gets? At least we earn money with those strats. But still love yor engagement, just not sure, how long we can survive in this business with that good of content as such in your blog. Very selfish, i know, but beside the fun, I play poker to pay my bills. You describe yorselfe to be a pokerecologist. What is your approach?

All the best for you and your dogs!i:)

I think that as players if we do the right thing and as sites we do the right thing and as coaches we do the right thing, then good will prevail and poker will continue.

Right now we have a tremendous decline in poker due to governements but also due to the way that poker is being run from the top down (I exclude stars)

Example, ipoker skin a few years ago had a good position in the stock market. Their share holders would receive detailed information regarding Sports Book, Casino and Poker. Sports Book and Casino was always good and in poker they had some really big rakers. They were poached by another room and the poker room eventually gave them a huge rakeback deal that put profits down but they could still say "Turnover is X and steady" as the promotions would always make profit higher or lower (WSOP packages, rake races etc) and these few rakers got 120% rakeback which would probably be 10s of thousands and the guy in his office kept his job.

If they spent 50k a month bringing in recreational players then it would be way better for the long term of their room AND the long term of poker.

Its kinda similar to poker, if we make forums dead, if we make poker boring and if we dont make fun things to read then who knows what will happen? If we strive to maximise the potential of his ridiculously interesting, deep and fun game then perhaps we as a community can help it last longer.

The iPoker skin is now dead I think or at least not on iPoker, Stars is still here and Id bet will be here way longer than any of the guys just thinking about "today"

Thanks for feedback all... I will try to remove that Wordpress logo from the top

Did this interview with Coopah today, guys pretty funny.

Hey PLeno. Love the new website. Looks great. :)

What's your thoughts on the standard of not folding strong hands when facing aggression? Time and time again I see people saying "Call, you have top two pair". An example of this is something I saw on 2plus2, as seen below.

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.27) Hero has K  A

fold, Hero raises to $0.30, CO calls $0.30, fold, fold, fold

Flop: ($0.87, 2 players) K :spade: A :club: 2 :diamond:
Hero bets $0.60, CO raises to $1.40, Hero calls $0.80

Turn: ($3.67, 2 players) 3 :diamond:
Hero checks, CO bets $2.40, Hero calls $2.40

River: ($8.47, 2 players) 4
Hero checks, CO bets $5.10 Hero?

Villain wasn't playing fishy stats, and was 250bbs deep.
The people posting in this thread were talking about how folding is really bad, but is there really much here that raises flop that we beat? Maybe A2s, but I don't expect a decent reg to flat that IP. One person recommended sigh-folding, to which people thought he was lolretarded, but Villain turned over 22 here on the river.

So, when it comes to hands like this where we are perceived to be strong, but a villain takes a line that looks strong on such a flop, is it possible to get away from these hands?

Also, curious to know how you make reads at ZOOM with just your HUD running. Obviously VPIP/PFR tell us the percentage of times someone does something, and we can theoretically base a range off of that, but how do you develop reads given that you can't right notes on other players since once you fold you're starting a new hand?

Hope the tables are treating you well Pat. :) Can't waiting for more content to pop up on wugwug!

Just wrote a blog about some upcoming content, a little bit of Heads Up Strategy and then finally my new favourite video of all time. If you dont want to read just scroll to the bottom and watch the video. It is hilarious! But read anyway!

-In GTO, when villain bets half pot on all streets, do we have to call 67% on each street?

-Is this the same if we get c/r? Say villain has to get folds 50% do we call 50% of our total range or do we call 50% of our value range?

- When is this important to take into account? I only play nl5 now but I find it hard to figure out when to fold made hands and when to call down

Seriously River you really are wasting a lot of time thinking anything about GTO or theory, nl5 is all about trying to exploit opponents who either call too much or fold too much

Made a YouTube video on HU Zoom as a lot of people asking how it works.

No worries. :f_biggrin:
To be fair, I doubt many people would know what it stood for until it was mentioned. Cool website, none the less.

Hi Pleno,

I'm curious about 3 things:

1) Do you have a morning routine that allows you to get focused and start working? If yes, what does it consist of?
2) How do you make sure that you're focused while you play poker? What are the things that influence your focus in both positive and negative way?
3) If you could talk to the version of yourself at the start of your poker career, what would you say to yourself with the knowledge that you have now?

Thank you,

-Primoz
