When Flushes Hurt

In 2-7 lowball poker straights and flushes count as high hands, which is why it is 2-7 and not 2-6

I've been grinding PL Badugi for about four years by now, but I don't remember ever witnessing two players both bringing the stone cold nuts to showdown in the same hand. But that's exactly what happened in tonight's tournament.

Not only that, they even both hit their hand at the same time. But see for yourself:

PokerStars, $3.92 + $0.48 - Badugi Pot Limit - 60/120 - 7 players

How Can this Be?

It is a running joke on my stream that when I play lowball, I hit way too many gutshots.
I even keep a running record of them visible on stream

In lowball, the best hand is 7,5,4,3,2 with at least two suits.
Since the odds of filling a gutshot are 11:1 against, it makes sense to take a stab with a hand like 7,6,4,3 even though drawing a 5 makes the straight, which totally destroys your hand.

I give up -- why does it look like the Royal Flush doesn't win the pot?
What am I missing?

Edit -- Doh! The hand hasn't finished yet!
