Uuum, I am 100% sure poker sites DO NOT remember betting patterns. That would be devastating to their business. I mean even if 1 player claims and proves they DO remember betting patterns and somehow "help" some players over the others, this site is abso-fucking-lutely going to be sewed by governments, banned from everywhere and whatnot. That's without counting the money they would have to pay the guy who busted them for not keeping their contract with him.
I agree there are days where you play tight and according to strategies and still lose money. I agree there are days when you play crappy starting hands and hit 2 pairs, flushes, straights and fulls over AA, KK etc.
But what I don't think is that you've read the psychology articles and also some articles about discipline. I read an article of Daniel Negreanu where he says that when he was playing $10/20 cash games for 8 hrs/day he had a day-off. On all the other days he'd play tight cause "tight is right". And on the day-off he'd play like wild starting hands, raising and so on. You can try something like that but I am almost sure you lack the self discipline to do so.
I also know that if you try to "cheat" the system and play on limits where your bankroll isn't letting you play the system's gonna hunt you down and you'll wish you never even tried it.
So my advice - go back to following strategies and bankroll management, search the leaks in your so called "solid play" and you'll improve slowly but surely. Otherwise save your self a few thousand dollars and hundreds of pointless hours in front of the PC screen and so something more useful with your life. Like plant a tree or save an animal from the shelter.
So whilst I am not a big winning player yet, I am finally a winning player. Whether it is SnGs or Cash games when I'm on a big heater I'm the one bad beating people. When I'm on a downswing I'm being bad beat... Its the times in the middle where your profitable, stealing blinds, steal reraises and extracting maximum value from your draws and when you hold the nuts. Whilst it makes sence for the sites to encourage bad players to stick around by allowing them to suck out and therefore keeping them playing longer. The sharks have to have an edge to stick around and make money and in time become "Supernova"... Hence the edge exists and pokerstars encourage players who ultilise this edge by giving the best rewards to their highest volume players...
So whilst you may play great tight/agg poker, obviously there is more you can do to play better. Even when I am playing to a standard that I think is perfect when I analyse my session, coin flip win losses and then mistakes I've made. I can be getting bad beat twice for every one win, make "bad plays" 10-20% of the time and still be profitable at the end of the session. So made you need to take the time to analyse the hands where you bad beat someone and see how you got yourself into that situation, or the times you didn't realise that the dude in the CU was stealing your blinds every second hand... Don't analyse when you got your money in good, look at where you got your money in bad and when u didn't get yoru money in.
i get bored of these posts. If u dont believe in them then dont play poker, simple.

i get bored of these responses to these kind of threads. if YOU are bored with these kind of threads... DON'T READ THEM!!!! and sure as hell don't post self-important platitudes about that you are bored of them.
condescending "#¤#%Ew'es.
(and btw, thank you to the people who made thought thru genuine responses. i do appreciate it, even those who think im an idiot.)
To everyone who thinks online poker is rigged: play online poker for 250k hands the right way (follow BRM, SHC, make good decisions) and then come back and tell us if it's rigged or not.
Bottom line for anyone else: Really good players never complain about poker being rigged. Just try wrapping ur head around the numbers when u use the PS equilator or pokerstove or w/e u use to calculate ur equity and I'm sure u'll realize that any conceivable situation can happen to u while playing poker.

Hope it helped.
oh it sure did!!!! general platitudes from people who took the time to actually read the ENTIRE THREAD TITLE(!!!) are very very helpful.
oh, thank you thank you thank you so very much!!!!

i certainly dont expect agreement heresigh... again, i know i am not going to get anyone to say "its not random, you're right". and i dont even know if i believe that. but right now it is DAMN hard to not believe that the program picks up on betting patterns to "juice" the action and help the crazies.
i seriously dont know how to feel about this. play well and get creamed - donk it up and go mega plus. i know it isnt maintainable, but i just cant wrap my head around it anyway.
comments are of course welcomed, but i know myself that i am not being rational, so please dont cream me for being an idiot. i tilted, got lucky, and have a bankroll to play another day with when i prob shouldnt have. i know this and have to live with it. but feelings are feelings and they are based on experience, and right now my experience from the last several weeks tells me that playing good poker gets punished and playing like a donk gets rewarded. i need to take a serious break now before that thinking dominates me, i guess.
rant over. thank you, pokerstrategy! i really do want to be a member the entire site can be proud of. i hope to get out of my funk soon so that that can be the case. right now i feel like a big joke.
some highlights for those of you who felt reading the title or first lines was enuff to understand what the entire post was about. i mean, if you don't want to read posts about this subject matter, it really is quite simple, just don't click on the damn title and - WOW! - your computer won't open that thread. (and btw, i did take that break i myself said i needed)
If you're worried about fair play, you should know that all major, serious actors submit their rng's to external organizations for review, such as this one:

I have worked as a tester for a major poker software producer and I can tell you that the rng is put through riguorous testing inhouse and by external reviewers.

The reason why I feel these posts are getting boring is because they are extremely repetitive. It appears to me that you're the one who finds yourself extremely, self-important, which is why you decided that you needed to write a rigged poker thread just for yourself. I assume this is because you feel your case is SO SPECIAL that you need extra attention, and that you are TOO GOOD just to reply to or discuss in another rigged poker thread.
As for me making a genuine reply, I am simply agreeing with another poster who has already replied. When I read your first post, I had already decided my response would be what it is. It just turns out that another reader already posted what I had in mind. Just because I used a +1 doesn't mean that I didnt' read and consider your posts. If you were actually not so self-centered, and actually read other people's threads (before making a personal attack on me), you'll notice that I've already expressed my opinion on rigged poker quite explicitly on another rigged poker thread.
"Rigged poker or just very bad luck" inside downswings.
Notice that I didnt' make an attack on your personally, I had just agreed with the previous poster that THESE threads regarding rigged poker are getting redundant. Note again that I don't make any references to YOU in an insulting way, simply just that if you feel it's rigged, you shouldn't play.
I don't like to bring out the personal insults in posting, but you seem to have created a special case for me here.
Simply based on the fact that I'm agreeing with another poster, you decided you had enough reason to justify calling me
self-important, and a condescending "#¤#%Ew'es.
Would you have felt better if I wrote my reply in full sentences instead!?!??!
I agree with a previous poster that if you feel so strongly that online poker is rigged, then you shouldn't play.
Does that make you feel better now? Do you feel more important now? Does that satisfy your need for attention?
I'm sorry I hurt your feelings and made agitated simply because I agree with the comment that I find such threads repetitive (which, by the way, is a fully valid response to the issue that you have stated in your first post, essentially, the "rigged poker" issue)
It's unfortunate that you're unable to accept a blunt and direct response simply because it is critical of your opinion.
My response to your thread is, and will remain, that:
If you truly feel strongly that poker is rigged, to the point where you stress yourself over it, then you really shouldnt' play at all. I mean, why would you play a gambling game that you know to be rigged, and be expecting to make money at the same time?
Sorry to hurt your feelings before, but I've realized that some people need a little extra attention in order to fulfill their own psychological needs. So here you are then.
The reason why I feel these posts are getting boring is because they are extremely repetitive...
absolutely nothing you wrote changes the fact that if you believe these threads are soooooo repetitive... then why read them at all??? there are a ton of subjects i find so repetitive and boring that they drive me crazy, but i choose then to not enter those threads. how hard a concept is that?
and are you saying that ALL threads that relate to the same topic should only be in one thread? i dont get to post my own threads in this forum?
and if you did read my original post, did you not see that i was obviously not just writing that the whole poker world is out to get me, but that i was frustrated IN THE MOMENT and using this forum to vent (if not, please see my post a few posts up for those highlights). i welcomed comments, and of course knew they would come, but tried to in advance ask for thought out replies that wouldnt just add to the hurt i felt at the time. thank god some took the time to post those kind of replies.
if you have already made your position clear in another thread, why then the need to post it again in this one? your position is clear! congratulations on that! and, yes, if you post "i am bored of these kind of posts", then i take it as such that i have posted something that offends you personally. other responses that mean the same thing without the condescending tone would be for example "i dont think sites are give advantage to any player over the other" or "i have never felt that hands online are dealt any thing other than randomly" or any such phrasing. make your point, make it clear it is an your opinion and move on.
and again, of course i was being self-important in a thread I STARTED ABOUT MYSELF! and as i clearly stated in the original post, i knew i was being "stupid" and "felt like a joke". that was a given, so any response of that kind was just repetitive and, as i see it, solely to fullfill the needs of that poster. but, hey, ive learned my lesson, dont post in these forums unless you are willing to get pummeled by the all-knowing platitude kings.
in the interest of promoting the positive as well as spotlighting the negative...

What you should do, especially in the SNGs, is look up the players you see playing rags and
playing like donkeys and sucking out on Sharkscope or Poker Pro Labs.Just write down the names, and when the game is done, look them up and you will ALWAYS
find that they are big time losing players. If they are ahead, it is because they have a small sample size,Or they got lucky in a higher buy in.
I do not know of anything to keep track of the winnings of players in cash games,
but by looking up these donkeys that play by your theory of playing like a donkey,
and playing bad hands etc etc in SNGs, you will have it proven to you that it does not work.It just seems that they are ahead by playing these cards because it is a different donkey
sucking out on you each time, and this makes it feel like you are playing wrong. But these donkeys each are getting lucky on you this once, and unlucky on MOST of their
poker hands over their carreer.Be steadfast and play solid poker and collect in the long run.
also helpful, thank you.

Hi it does seam that its not random its been happening to me all weekend playing nl10 I get AA, KK or AK raises get re-raised so go all in and I'm up against 56s or some other very marginal hand and the villain draw out on usually on the river. It sucks but in the long run it should work out.
All in all the SSS has work very well for me so far just this weekend my bank roll has taken a hit dropped from $88 to $71 It's sick but it happens.
Just Thought I'd add this
I was play today (9/3/09) on fl10 and played using the hand charts for FL and had pocket A's first hand I had played, hit an A on flop raise got re raise and end up in a betting war with this guy so ended up with all my chips in the pot with just the river to come our card where turned over and all he had was 7
3
he'd hit nothing on the flop and a flush draw on turn he hit the flush on river. He played every hand the same and sucked out on 4 other player with big hand when he had crap and hit on turn & river. But when he left the table he had lost most of his stack.
So my point is Keep hitting these guys and betting as much as you can when you have your big hands they may get lucky but in the end they lose it all. I finished session $6 up he nearly went lost it all.
also helpful. thank you as well.
