Well I'm less than one month playing but I find (Researched about it) to establish a loss limit a very important thing. Some days you have your head in other places or villains just keep getting you rivered, so best thing is to stop for that day or if your are playing by the morning lunch go to do some sport and play again by the night (after of course reviewing your hands, the one you lose the most and the ones you win the less). I do it this way (most of the time).

I think everyone feels you, including me. AA against J4off he hits turn and river Jacks. AA against 55 he hits a set, KK against two players with Ax and the Ace comes etc etc TILT then I play terribly for the rest of the evening spewing more money.

However proper bankroll management is the key. I would say 20 or even 25 is a little on the low side. Full cash games I want at least 30-50 buyins and 6max I want 60 that way when I do have a bad session I can just get away from it with enough intact to play when things are going better. I learned the hard way that I will go bust if I play outside my bankroll. I won a lot on 888 a few years ago and then went broke through bad management.

Yeah I think when your tilted your more likely to call there value bets because your chasing your losses. I definately don't think straight when I'm a little tilted. I'd say due to me not doing poker professionally yet I can be a little more aggressive with my bank roll because I can reload if I bust. Currently playing 5NL and getting better!

I lost 10 stacks yesterday and 2 more this morning....

But something has clicked in me today. I turned my game and head around and I have been destroying. I made a rather 6 stakes since this morning. I've had to lose 12 stacks before I clicked on a lot of what I was doing wrong. Calling river value bets I must have been so lose post flop trying to out play people. Trying to play the board. Basically trying to be a little smart arse.

It's clicked in me that patients is the best thing bet sizing timing. But a major fault has been trying to cram all the poker articles in my head at once at each game. Today I just went with the flow of a nice tight game.

A massive leak was trying to stack every single person with every single half decent hand. I realised it not going to work. Slow and steady wins the race.

3500 hands and 60stacks at roughly 17bb/100
Why has it took this long for me to realise my mistake. I am assuming it's because the nl2 really does start with almost every hand ends up with it all in by the river with middle hands.

Needs to make these foundations and fundamental a solid basis for my game now. It's totally just clicked on my brain thinking far better what's going to call. What's going the raise. What's going to value bet. What's going to bluff. I believe I did very well today. I would say I lost about 1.5 stacks to not playing correctly and it cost me. And 1 full all in pre KK vs AA I had KK so far enough. And also 1 stack to a river suck out. So maybe I should have a touch more but that's were control comes in. And what separates the great ones from me.

I know but i also figured out dont people get to the river because they always suck out so just bet them out before that. Just make sure thry do not see the river. Riverstars

Well, this is true only partly. When you lose 10 stacks in a row, something is more than likely wrong with your game :).

Well if you thought you were at least with 75% equity to win, roughly, the chances to lose ten times in a row are 10^(-6) one in one million... Could happen but highly unlikely.

If you still have leaks and loosing 5 stacks or more is morally distroying I would suggest you a tighter BRM. As someone who is still learning I personally just take money to the tables which I can easily loose without any tilt or anger. This is also my stop loss limit (5 buy-ins as SnG-player).

On the first hand the board gets worse OTT so I don't agree with a check. And by check raise shoving you probably make any weaker hand fold. Except those strong draws that have almost 40% equity.
Hand 2 is just standard bad luck.

dragonste, those things just happen! Rarely, but they happen. I recommend you "The Mental Game of Poker" (Jared Tandler). Altough it is written there that you shouldn´t move down a limit while loosing, I personally do it and set a stop loss limit. If you really feel bad with loosing a certain amount of money, just move down until you feel comfortable to move up again. But bad luck just happens in poker.

And as for the 66-hand: I´m with la55i; bet turn! The board texture is wet and you should protect your hand. I would bet about 75% pot.

I know I played the 66 wrong. But I'm hungover so I've stopped playing today. Too many bad hands there. Set over set twice. these two hands happened about 20 hands between them. I'm not tilting or anything. Just not having any luck. The QQs are very very upsetting

This just just my way of having a moan and getting my bad play or bad luck off my chest. Got my KK 3bet called by 34s and guess what lost a stack to a 70 % vpip what can ha do. I'm calm just having a little moan. I know I can win it back on good days.

You´re totally on tilt, dear dragonste. ♠_cry: This cannot happen all the time due to statistics, it can happen all the time over a certain amount of hands but the more you play the closer your results will approach the expectation values, but you need a large number of hands for that (the law of the large numbers). What happens is called "variance".

I totally agree this one was bad play on the river... I should have bet fold. he is only going to raise me with the nuts here after 3 streets of betting but I just couldn't believe my luck against a bad player he only had 60bb to start with I know I shouldn't have paid him off here and that is seriously bad play on my behalf.

i know my play isn't perfect. and villain got lucky with the Q on the turn, but he also called the flop. and got paid for it. JJ is just a bullshit. and the AK is just really bad play on the river so i know that some of these hands were bad play on my behalf, i do know this and i am working on my game.

I'm not a robot. HaHa. shouldn't there be a moaning corner on this forum hahaha

I'm a fish but I'll give you my two cents here:
Poker technical skills aside try to work on your mental game. Everybody gets sucked out on the river sometimes every day. It happens and is what is meant to happen. A2+vsKK has 30% equity, and you are going still find fishes who will push them preflop or bet two streets with air for your bankroll rejoice in the midterm.

Mental skills are pretty important!
