You're right but I'm glad that we can at least use the English forum and even get our own sub forum with Finnish stuff. On the English parts of this forum, please keep the comments in English so everyone can understand it :)

The old Finnish forum is still available for some time at http://fi.pokerstrategy.com/forum/

When it closes, we're going to open the Finnish area here on the English board with our old blogs and other important threads.

It's sad news indeed :( But do not fear, you're more than welcome here (We're so awesome we make stuff rhyme) in our humble abode :]

I'm sure we'll be a match made in heaven!

Don't let that HollyMichelle push you around though.

Welcome to you all

Please share your knowledge of PLO and driving like lunatics on loose surfaces because I've gotta do that at some point :)

PLO and driving on ice is pretty much the same:

- You press the pedal to the metal
- You roll the steering wheel back and forth
- You enjoy the results

And on ice, it's like PLO: playing the game is easy. The profit part is the hard one.

Just gonna point out that the Finnish community is pretty much guaranteed to die out.
I love that the English community is welcoming as is but still. :f_mad:

RIP fi.pokerstrategy.

Been a pokerstrategy member for over 3 years now and dedicated alot to this community. I have been faithful to pokerstrategy and linked nearly all my pokeraccounts via this site. I dont know what we have done to deserve such behavior, but it sounds very unproffessional to give us a 2 day warning on what is going to happen. It doesnt effect me so much, as poker isnt my main income, but if I can put my feelings to words I would even use such a strong word as angry, by the behavior that our coaches/staff have received from Playtech/pokerstrategy (whoever is incharge). Come on! You state that because of legal reasons pokerstrategy.fi must be shutdown. And we get a 2 day warning? No legal action is made in such a short notice. Thats a joke and probably a lie. I would understand if pokerstrategy.fi was an unprofitable investion, but if I understand right we were not? Reffering back to the part where my pokeraccounts are linked via pokerstrategy.com I think that we all should be given an option to untrack our accounts as the main reason many of as finns tracked our accounts was for the benifits we got on the finnish community (session reviews, poker couching, handhistoryanalysez etc.)

I think Veini`s right. Even all those were free (kind of), but now we dont have those anymore. Or is there coming at any point couching or/and analysez in Finnish? Most of us can understand english, but not all. So what do you have here for them?

Things change, all the time. But this was just something too low, i cant understand why this happened. And why the reason is kept in secret? That´s uderestimating us, like we were just numbers or money, cattle or something.. nothing more.

I really hope that we can hear the truth some day, everything else is just bullshit.

4 other finnish poker communities continue without any problems with same business model that PS Finland had. If reason for closing PS-Finland was illegal marketing of poker sites like told by Playtech why others can continue it without any change ? Playtech, this stinks.

Playtech, please untrack our accounts from pokersites.

Pou and Veini said it all.

Luckily I have only one major site linked via PS (pretty crappy one, happy about that...), so I can mainly stop playing there and earning any money for Playtech.
The only reason for me to earn points and maintain at least silver level was to participate couching, session reviews and hand analyses in finnish.
The move Playtech did was low and unacceptable.

Like Pou said, RIP PS fi.

Hey everyone!

I'm very sorry to hear what happened to the FI community. I don't know how it feels and I can only try to imagine…

However I want to welcome every member from the Finnish community! I'm sure that we can make a great team! We'll get to know each other in no time I'm sure.

Btw I'm not English either, I'm from Belgium. And a lot of members here in the English community aren't english. So don't worry if you're English isn't as good as the brits like Pleno1. The most important thing is that we understand each other. Imo we are a nice bunch of people trying to help each other, giving tips and improving our games.

I really hope to see a bunch of finnish people actively contributing to the community and we can make something beautiful out of this sad event.

Best regards

+1.

Although I'm Australian and we are supposed to speak English. Sometimes it doesn't sound like it.

Hi SeagalSteven,

Finnish Corner is not open yet. We are currently waiting for our IT department. Unfortunately the operation is not very simple because we want to save majority of the content from fi.pokerstrategy.com/forum saved and transfer it to Finnish corner which will be opened under Community Boards on the English forum.

Once the Finnish corner is up and running we will proceed with our HU Championships.

Sorry about the delay. For the time being the old Finnish forum is still up here if you want to continue discussing in Finnish. If you prefer English you are already in correct place. :)

Let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.

To the list of 'famous Finns' we should add Simo Hayha.

Simo Häyhä, the White Dead, would definetely be a great addition to the list. However, I suppose he's not as well known as those sportsmen and poker coach.
