I don’t think you can value bet on flop on A high and draw heavy board multi way. In NLHE I would check here always, because you get only action of better and strong flush draws and it’s likely at least 1 villain has a Ace.

Turn is pretty much the worst card in the deck and it’s possible you’re drawing to the 2nd best hand if you call here. Off course you need to call for 1BB more. So calling is still fine I think and is river a clear fold unimproved.

Best regards,

IF you call turn and river comes a blank you HAVE to call getting 12.5:1. This is, as you observe, FL SDK:tongue:

The CO can bet turn for a huge number of reasons, like picking up an FD or valuebetting a T or just be betting because all others checked.

If you fold, fold on the turn, not HU on the river where a river bullet is mandatory in case he was bluffing.

I'm not betting flop either. What's the purpose? equity? No way. Bluff? Forget it.

The purpose is information. Both ranges MP2 and CO include worst hands. And my range is also very strong. I must kick off opps on the flop and see- where I am.
About river. I undestand, bank is 12.5:1. I used equilab and played possible ranges CO 3bet vs MP2 opened. Rather narrow. So if I delete half combinations KQo, which may or may not be in 3bet range CO vs MP2- EV < 12 %
So i belive, it is fold

Off course I know this was a FLHE hand. Otherwise I wouldn’t post it like I did.

I don’t think betting for information is a good reason to bet against 3 players on a board that you get only action of better. I would try to get the hand to showdown as cheap as possible here.

Cheers,

We discussed a similar hand here: https://www.pokerstrategy.com/forum/thread.php?postid=2020746#post2020746.
There are very few worse hands that pay you on the flop.
It´s better check flop, and see the action behind us and which players. Then we have a call flop to fold turn many times (in this case you have a call turn with the FD and pocket SD value) or directly fold flop.

As for betting for information: It is almost never correct to do it. I state this is a fact, without explanation, but you could look it up in good books/articles. Basically, you need to take into account the cost of the information you get. Here, it isn't worth a bet.

On the river, it is not the time for Equilab calculations. Your flop/turn play succeeded (whether correct or not), you got it HU. There is 12.5 in the middle, a busted draw and possibly bluffs having been induced -> you call.

either bet flop AND turn or as played you have to call river.
