A loose mob on the loose

Ok, this was a bad night. Faced several loose players, and a couple of maniacs. Not many good hands, and missed pretty much every flop. My question on this hand is how to deal with loose oponents. On this case, likely a maniac.

Known players:

Preflop: Hero is BB with A♥, 5♠. UTG2 posts a blind of $0,10.
UTG2 checks, 6 folds, Hero checks.

I've got an A with a low kicker - villain may have pretty much anything.
Flop: (2,50 SB) J♦, 7♣, 3♦ (2 players)
Hero bets, UTG2 calls.

My bet did not scare him - no surprise.
Turn: (2,25 BB) 4♥ (2 players)
Hero bets, UTG2 calls.

Since he didn't show much aggression, i guess he's drawing for a flush of hearts.
River: (4,25 BB) K♥ (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG2 bets, Hero folds, UTG2 gets uncalled bet back.

On the river i did not hit anything again. Maybe i should have bet/called here, but the night was proving this was a bad idea against those loose players. I decide to fold my high card.
Final Pot: 4,25 BB

How to deal with a table full of loose players? Do you just wait for your premium hands (forever if necessary)? The few hands i won this night did not compensate for the many on which i saw myself folding against 3 other players who could have anything.

bet the flop once.
check/call the turn with your double gutshot, you cant get this callingstations to fold. your opponent is not after a heart-flush, he can't because there is no heart on the flop. never bet the turn in headsup when you know you cant make your opponent fold, only bet for value, but here you cant.
on the river you should fold to his bet because you dont have anything. maybe he limped AK because he thinks he misses the flop every time.

bet fllop is viable but on the turn you have to check since A high won'T probably fold and you don't want to get raised by JT QJ KJ AJ. c/c on your double belly gutshot and fold on the river. on the river it is close. so first tendency indicates that he is a passive fish that rarely raises any hand but calls tons of hands.

you have to be patient when you have loose players at the tables. you can actually play more hands as you would do on a table with just tight players being at since you are getting better odds in certain situations when already 2-3 players have limped in before you act.

on the river it is close. he could have T8 T9 89 and some busted flushdraws that he could barrel now and he did not raise at any point and i dont think that this passive fish is betting A3 or a 7 but rather checks those kind of hands. that makes his range more polarized. i don't mind check/call the river and take a not on him.
