Checking back here is actually fine

If we examine our turn and river range and try to make them balanced we realise that if we bluff JTs on this river I imagine we would end up over-bluffing

We're still going to have T9, J9, 76s, 97s which have all missed this board so unless you don't have these hands in your preflop range you should not be bluffing this river with JTs.

Now of course if your opponent's a little foldy or scared of backdoor flushes maybe you can think about bluffing but personally I wouldn't expect many A-highs or pairs to be folding on this river so I'd learn towards not bluffing as much if anything.

Why do we need to balanced against bad players on such limits? The only reason i see is to develop good habits of thinking about our own range.

Also what if this player is calling turn with KJ ant KT(i seen a lot of bad players playing this way esp on 0.25/0.5) would it be better idea to bluff the river?

Topic of balancing vs bad players is always an issue but I think that extreme solution(to not balance or complete balance) is rarely the correct answer.

At first it seemed to me that this should be quite an easy bluff on the river but then I though we may actually have some SDvalue here since we beat quite a few of those busted draws.

Betting would also make him fold some better hands, mostly targeting KT,KJ and Kx FDs but would also loose 1bet more vs Ahigh,pairs,slowplays and sometimes also vs worse hands which decide to make a spew c/r bluff(sure these are very unlikely).

I think this really is borderline hand and neither of those two actions have much different EV but my default would prolly be to check there as well

It's not just a balancing issue but a range issue

If you don't want to think about our range think about our opponent's who is loose passive

On average his range here is going to be stronger than aveage becasue he doesn't raise when he should and he'll "not fold" about the correct amount so if anything we should be looking to bluff a little less becasue we're targetting almost no hands in his range

He's not folding A-High or better so that leaves us with K-High which, personally, I think iis way too small a part of his range to make this a profitable bluff

The whole "why do we need to balance against bad players" is a bit of a misnomer because in order to optimally exploit anyone you need to know the balance position.

In this case it is not a bluff if you analyse it through balance so therefore you have to ask yourself will my opponent's tnedencies allow me to add bluffs to my range, and since he's loose passive and may even have called this far will top pair and certainly won't fold a pair or better on the river I think if anything we should be excluding bluffs
