Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

Play hand

$0.02/$0.04 No-Limit Hold'em (9 handed)

Known players:
[tg]CO$5.05:///////;BU$2.22:///////;SB$7.45:///////;BB (Hero)$5.83:///////;UTG1$3.28:///////;UTG2$1.23:///////;MP1$4.94:///////;MP2$1.08:///////;MP3$5.00:///////;[/tg]

Preflop: Hero is BB with 9:d, A:h.
6 folds, BU raises to $0.12, SB folds, Hero raises to $0.36, BU calls $0.24.

Flop: ($0.74) 4:c, 8:d, 8:c (2 players)
Hero bets $0.48, BU raises to $1.86(All-In), Hero folds, BU gets uncalled bet back.

Final Pot: $1.22.

Is this a bad board to cbet? I think it's quite dry and he's only continuing with a PP or a good A high

I'd be more conservative 3b bluffing vs a short stack. And if he proves to fold a lot to 3bets I'd make the 3bet a bit smaller maybe .30 just because he is short

As played i think the Flop bet is too big, I'd rather make it 1/2 pot in a 3b pot.

Hello thebaptist333,

Fold preflop vs 50BB guy without any information. :)

Best Regards.

I'm sorry I didn't post villains stats but I can promise you that if I 3bet A9o in SB it was against one of the many regs that are stealing 50%+ hands. There are quite a few of them and I have over 1k hands on most of them and I have bet sizing reads as well. I guess I assumed that was implied since I'm never 3betting an unknown in that spot with that hand.

My real question in this hand is whether I should be giving up on this flop

Well, then also you should be at least posting his fold to 3bet. :) Or the reason why you did the 3bet. And yes, I would be towards Check/Folding the flop, doubt that we making many hands to fold while he has a lot of PPs in his flatting range and of course traps.
