Your 4bet is fine. It is actually bigger than I would 4bet here.
OTF there is no reason to shove. That looks like "I have something ok but not the nuts, please just fold".

You actually want to bet very small here. Small bet still has decent fold equity here + you get to charge some single diamond hands + your bluffs don't need to work that often. If you had the nuts here you would probably check or bet very small to keep villain in the hand.

Small flop bet could be fine depending on what the plan is for turn. If flop bet is small, then there is still no room for finesse on turn, which must be check-fold or all in depending on what peels off.

I don't hate it as played. Given what you both had, he made a very bad flop call. That's how you make money in poker (put villain in a position to make mistakes). This requires that you make small mistakes yourself (and let him make the bigger ones).
