Hi GingerKid

I understand that you are deeper but that 4-bet size looks huge. Are you 4-betting for vlaue or bluff?

As played I think you do have value on the river as it's unlikely he has much better.

My 4bet size was 2.5 his bet size, I thought it is standard? IP I make it 2x, but when we are deep I make it a bit larger.

It was a bluff raise, from MP I 4bet AJ, KQ.

For some reason I thought he 3-bet 12 BB but even with 14 BB you've made it 34 BB which is still a bit big imo given you do have position (and you mentioned you'd make it 2x).

And given you are deep can't you just 4-bet smaller and depolarize your range (since you will get called a lot more)?

How do I know that I will be called more deep? I usually dont call more OOP deep, should I?

Ideally you'd know that by your population sample.

Generally the deeper you get the more likely you are that people call you. Why? Because your SPR will not be larger so they don't invest as big of a % to see a flop (and of course implied odds go up and so on).

I thought that it is much more important to be IP than to have implied odds. Also if I have bluff combos and value, then he doesnt have so huge implied odds, and with some combos like AJ, AQ, KQ he has reverse implieds i guess?

Position is one of the most important factors of course. I'm not implying that implied odds are king but that a lot of people call more when they are deeper (vs 3-bets, vs 4-bets, etc). Look at your DB and you can see what you can find for your population base.

And yes, I feel that we will dominate our opponents a lot if we have good ranges (average opponent, not every opponent).

Ok, if it is so do you think people who call 4bet OOP are making mistake (assuming they call with wider range comparing to 100bb)?

If so, we have one option to extend our range and 4bet AQ, what else? JJ?
That would be purely exploitatible play imo, so we can exploit even more by 4betting only QQ+, AK since AQ is not clear value 4bet whih we can barrel comfortable

It's hard to say if they make a mistake because we are not looking at the ranges they actually call with (because we don't know them) and we don't know the assumptions/game plan they are going with.

But it does make it harder for them to play properly overall so in that sense it could turn out to be a mistake.

And since we are on this topic we talked about another hand just moments ago where you stated (and I fully agree) that people on party don't like folding to 3-bets. I extend that further to say that people on party (and some other platforms too) don't like folding period (4-bet pot, postflop, etc).
