I think we have a call here.

UTG range is maybe something like this: QQ-88, QJs. And this is the strongest range he might have imo.
Board: 9d8dTh
Equity Win Tie
CO 39.30% 38.81% 0.49% { AdKd }
BU 60.70% 60.21% 0.49% { QQ-88, QJs }

And below is if the BB decides to stay in the hand. I also put here a strong range.

Board: 9d8dTh
Equity Win Tie
CO 25.70% 25.38% 0.32% { AdKd }
BU 26.59% 26.28% 0.32% { QQ-88, QJs }
SB 47.71% 47.39% 0.32% { TT-88 }

Thanks man, I thought the same thing. I just got scared to play since there's someone left to act. I put a range where everything included is ahead of my hand and still got a +EV call..

I do not like the preflop 3b. An EP 29/1 guy opens for 5BB... we call here.

On the flop vs KK+ we have 43% equity and we can call...

But it's 81 hands.

I don't understand why 3betting against a fishy looking player who can raise different sizes with even JJ and AQ is wrong. Even JJ or AQ will call a 3bet here or might even 4b with JJ..

Its ok to 3bet against the open from utg+1(40/19) which you did. I Think the previous post thought that it was utg (21/1) who opend

waaaa, I'm sorry, I'm not trying to disagree. Just trying to understand why call AK against a bad looking player, I did try to isolate a fish with a premium hand. I might understand and accept calling more if I'm at the BU..

I dont think its wrong to 3bet but i prefer to call. My reasoning is that he is opening from early pos and you are also sitting in a realtive early pos. He is going to percive your 3bet range to be narrow to 3bet his early opend and he can correctly lay down a bounce of hands that you crush. He will continue with a narrow range and if he 4bets things isnt feeling to good with AK anymore...If he is totally unaware of this and not a thinking player it becomes another story ofc

And its 8 handed. 6 handed would be an easy 3bet pf.
