I decided to make two barrels on this hand. On river I thought that if he had value hand, he could raise smaller to get money from me with his flush or straight... but instead - he raises pot. So I decided to bluff-reraise him...
This hand was played on ''feelings', I am not sure if I could have guts to play such way everytime.
What do You think about my moves? Should check/fold Turn would be more proffitable on long term?

Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

Thank You for Your comments!
I do not defend my moves as a good example, but still...
Few uncomplete reads:
1) If he is more or less regular, he will not call two 2/3 pot streets with flush draw or straight draw.
2) His pot raise on river after my check does not feel like he has completed flush.

My move could look like completed flush on river.

Then he would bet most of the times smaller on river - to get value from me.

His potbet OTR is a 9 a flush or a bluff. Dont se many bluffs in his range appart from KQ since he called flop turn. The rest of his range for calling 2 streets check back river? You might get him to fold a 9 being afraid of the flush OTR? Check/fold turn is to weak I think but perhaps x/c if you dont bet?

First off, I love your bet sizing on the flop! Definitely what a good valuebet looks like, good price to call with the T there and getting paid off by draws.
Turnbet is well sized, too. Not exactly 2/3 but that's what I like about it also since we don't know enough about villain to tell whether he would only call the flop with something that beats us (JT, 98s, AJ).

Villain might have had like KQ and bluffed there after missing his OESD, maybe AK if he's passive enough to flat you pre with big slick on the button. If he's fishy enough he might have played 87 this way and bet at you with twopair. So imo the riverdonk is either a busted straight draw, a very weak twopair desperately betting for thin value or - sometimes, but rather unlikely - thin air.

Now I just want you, for your own improvement, to ask yourself what a huge bet like this accomplishes. I get the idea behind it, the feeling and the act of instinct overall, but you are really betting big there. Why?

every bluffcatcher he's got will he folded to a slim minraise on the river.

Okay anyways this might get a weak twopair or straight to fold so hey man, big move, nice result. Keep it up.
(And next time if you're not quite sure maybe just minraise or call? Heh)

Just a small notice - villain does not donk the river. He bets after hero checks...

Hey, SRwtf!
Thank You for Your analysis. Everything You say makes sense. Do You feel that my slim minraise on river would look like I got there with my flush draw? He would just have to pay a little more to see, I he`s out of league. I am not sure if he could fold trips, two pair or straight to small 2bet on these limits
Thank You, nitrol, for Your comments, too.

Hi KKNgroup,

Check-call the river if you think opponent will bet busted draws/ bluff, or, bet for value if you think villain has a hand with show-down value that doesn't beat you. However, check-raise doesn't make a lot of sense as you never get called by worse hands and almost always get called by better. True, you might occasionally get villain to fold 2 pair but your hand is generally too strong to turn into a bluff here and we want to show-down. You even state that you think villain would bet smaller with a value hand so why take the unnecessary risk of turning TPGK into a bluff when we can just call and expect to win the pot most of the time (+gain the extra info through seeing villains hand.)

Ok so first of followin my first line of reasoning I agree with masochisticdesire, BUT I roll with what you said - that you had an instinctive feel for Villain's weakness and I respect gutfeeling in Poker because it is important and a player with good gutfeeling will be right most of the times (except for the few occasions when Villain's got an unexpected monster).

To your question: No I don't think a minraise gets a hand that beats you to fold. Maybe like 10% of the time if Villain is super tight since he's getting good odds on a call.
I think 4.75$ to 5.10$ is enough really to turn this hand into a bluff (bluff since we're usually behind everytime we get calls here)
Yes, this dollar is money saved for when you get called (which means you are beat most of the time) while it is still as efficient. Even a few cents more on a valuebet are extremely valuable in the long run! The goal is to maximize your long run resulting decisions. That's where the money as a serious poker player is made. You might win a lot in a single push with KK but you wil lose a lot that way too. The game is only profitable for those who know to grind and maximize their +EV decisions while they are grinding imo.

Check out James splitsuit Sweeny and his videos on youtube. He can't teach a pro or atleast not with the stuff he coaches on yt, but he's perfect for guys on your level, teaching concepts, betsizing and logic and reason behind decisions!

Oh hey no problem
Just one more observation and one more correction to my previous post here.
First: You putting him all-in makes him fold out some hands that would beat you, but if he called the flop with some kinda 9, like J9, T9 or A9 (means he had some equity, either overcard or pair) and he called the turn with a gutshot+ he will PROBABLY rarely ever fold his hand when he finally gets there on the river, except for when the SPR is too high and you put him all-in MAYBE, since he might not buy your flush story there.
If he is just reppin the 9 there a smooth call will do the job.
If however you really have him for a twopair here you probably did a good job, less money in the raise next time and you're good to go!
The only best hand I would fold there in Villain's situation is a twopair to be honest, but yeah, big raise, lotsa draws being completed on that river so props once again.
Peace out

Edit: my correction is that yeah going all in pre with KK IS part of that philosophy, it's not only the hands that are rather speculative and that you play street by street, that you make longterm profit with. Any +EV decision is a longterm profit for you, it's just that you lose more with KK all-in pre than you lose whiffing with AK once you get to showdown. But in overall: the right decisions are what it is about and depending on Villain's range going all in pre with QQ+ is definitely +EV
